So right now I’m not the biggest fan of Mayhem Mode. It’s way too easy to completely disregard the entire system. If you dont like the world modifiers just quit, reload game, find the positives modifiers you like, then make a Youtube video about how you build is OP and melts bosses.

And currently the way loot is it’s better to just run gravemind every 30 seconds than actually do the Proving grounds. And theres no incentive to run negative modifiers outside of a personal challenge…I dont think loot improves the more negative modifiers you have. 2nd…right now it’s better to do a 30 sec Graveward run than actually do something like The Proving Grounds.

Step 1: Mayhem Mode only comes with negative modifiers. Maybe tone them down but Mayhem Mode should challenge you, it should never help you.

Step 2: Reduce the world drop loot pool of bosses and have bosses drop certain legendaries.

Step 3: Bosses and Badass enemies have a chance to drop Proving Ground relics. These relics are how you access the Proving Grounds. You give 1 token and you have 1 shot to beat it. You die you start over and have to give another token.

Step 4: After you beat the Proving Grounds you make it rain legendaries and unlock the next Mayhem Level.

Step 5: I would do daily and weekly modifiers like…Katagawa Jr has a 10% chance to drop this … Crazy Earl has Annoited legendaries for sale for a limited time (To actually make eridium have a purpose).

I think what we have is well intentioned but ultimately shallow. Just my thoughts.
