That is … so awesome.
Oh God, I just had an awful experience that scuppered my plans to have a gloriously individual Valentine’s Day.
I went to a lecture by a visiting academic, trusting to my anonymity because I try my hardest to attend as few faculty events as possible, but afterward someone tapped me on the shoulder and greeted me warmly… and I could not for the life of me remember meeting them. Panicked moment where I reach for really general things to say, because they could either be an undergraduate I’ve taught, a fellow research student, or a member of staff, all categories which require different responses. 
I ran away quickly.
