How to add big file in the command line?

Hi the mod tutorial explains how to add -overridebigfile in the shortcut command line to add your mod to the game.
Comming from HW2 modding experience I remember if your mod contains big files besides loose file, you can also load big files along side with loose files by adding some command line like -bigfile somebigfile.big (or something like it) to the shortcut.
Can anyone post any link to this?

You can do this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Homeworld\HomeworldRM\Bin\Release\HomeworldRM.exe" -workshopmod 76561197971248638\1107659760\taiidanrepublicmod.big -overrideBigFile

That points to a workshop mod (one you have downloaded from steam) PLUS your loose files.

Or you can do this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Homeworld\HomeworldRM\Bin\Release\HomeworldRM.exe" -overridebigfile -moddatapath ..\..\..\..\..\..\Users\Dom\Dropbox\Taiidan-Republic-Mod\data

…which will point to a specific directory where additional data files are stored.

I can’t remember, but I’m pretty sure there is a way to point to a big file somewhere else…

Thank you very much! This is very helpful.
