How to farm loot midgets

Can you complete the story missions in the wildlife preservation area, and still continue to farm for loot midgets in Doctor’s Orders mission (provided you haven’t picked up any echoes)?

Main story, yes. You can pick up all the slag samples too. Just don’t turn in Doctor’s Orders, and try to avoid picking up any of the echoes. (Each one you pick up reduces the maximum number of LLMs that can spawn in the box room.) Having Animal Rights accepted but not turned in helps speed up the runs, because there are fewer critters between the CSD and the box room.

as VaultHunter101 says, also you want to open all lootable objects along your way, I always seem to get 1 to 2 LM’s/LLM"s on top of the 4 in the Box Room doing this
