How to get max OPS points?

But obviously I need to reach 100!

I just got an OPS challenge ā€œAvoid the Jennerit Ship attacksā€
However, there were no Jennerit ship attacks to avoid, so I couldn’t complete it?

After I completed the main objective these things started to appear;

Were those supposed to be the attacks?

Anyone else got this challenge?

EDIT:
Looks like these beams only starts appearing after a certain amount of time. Stall until they appear and then complete the main objective.

Honestly, I’m afraid of getting that high. The random teams I’m playing with with a legendary or two are having trouble. Aria can out at 2.5k damage in about a second. And I’m only at 70! But yeah, I figure 100 is only for people who have the Op memorized enough to get all of the chests. Out of luck it seems

Well, she’ll deal that damage on any level - Destroy the shield generators before they fully build her shield and she shouldn’t do it.

Though she did seem to have another additional insta-kill attack. I didn’t have time to see what that one was, though.
But this is Gearboxes way of giving you a challenge. Wish we still had health-gating!

Just got this one as a drop from Aria. That skill damage!

Do you mind if I put this in my gear index?

Health gating was so much fun…

You can do whatever you like ^^ we are all family here.

Thank you! Just checking. I wouldn’t see why not but who knows?

That’s really nice - and finally they’re making PvE exclusive legendaries - They can go really crazy with those since balance isn’t such a big deal.

Also, those two OPS boxes still remain elusive. The hunt continues… I don’t understand how I keep missing them!

Looking sexy af though so it’s fine. I’ve been hoping for red skins since release…

Talking about sexy things

Love this skin mmmmm!

As you continue to beat the mode, you’ll start off with 5 points higher each time, so for example, if you beat it 8 times, you start off with 40 ops right off the bat. Throughout the map there are tons of chests, I believe 10 ops points are hidden in chests around the level, the first main area you get in has a ton of them, you just have to look around the map. There’s a couple off the beaten path that aren’t immediately visible and that require you to be up on the rooftops. As you go through the match, you’ll be given 4 sub-objectives that you have to complete that will give you 10 ops points each.

The first one is in the first area, it could be to eliminate snipers, ronins, three shard clusters, or get to a chest. These must be completed before you destroy the 2 beacons. Any sub-objective that can be completed before the main objective must be completed first. The objective will have a different icon on the right of your screen if it doesn’t need to be completed first. To break the shard clusters, you have to stand on activation pads to break the shields around each of them, to get to the chest, if you’re facing it, there’s a ledge above and to the right that you can just walk onto and jump off into it.

The second mission is when you have to defend the main beacon, I don’t remember all of the missions there, but one possible mission is to defeat an enemy with a skill. This is the one that was the most frustrating because people never bother to listen to the ā€œskill onlyā€ portion. It’s best to have one player focus on it so you don’t accidentally wind up killing it before someone uses the skill. Try to complete it before taking out the last big thrall boss.

The next area has a couple of possible missions, one is to activate three beacons to triangulate the position, this one’s really easy, another one is to eliminate propaganda speakers, also easy, another is to kill an MX.Elite using a skill, same difficulty as the second mission, and another possible one is to avoid gunfire from a mobile tank. The best way to avoid the gunfire is to stay out of the ā€œmainā€ area between the two trees and use ranged attacks, put both trees between yourself and the tank and you’ll be safe.

The final mission can be to deface statues, simply walk up to them and hit the action key/button like you’re opening a chest, to open a chest, just walk up to the shard powering the barrier, break it, and open the chest, or to avoid gunfire again. With the gunfire, once again, just stay ranged, there’s some stairs up to the last or second-to last ā€œplatformā€, if you stay below the stairs you’ll be safe, it’s a lot easier than the third mission.

Anyway, that’s as best as I can remember it, with all of that, if you play the match 10 times you should have 50 ops points to start, gather the other 50, and you’ve got 100. Finding a team that will work together with you on this is the real challenge, since most people don’t bother to listen to the sub-objectives or don’t bother to open all of the chests.

As far as some tips on chests in the first main area, the first jump pad you see as you walk in will put you up on the roof at the ā€œbackā€ of the level, near where the first shard pad is. Turn towards the back of the level and look down and right, there’s almost always a chest there. Once you break it, face the ā€œfrontā€ of the level and you’ll see a walkway that goes along the side of the building, there’s usually a chest up there too. Before the platform where there are two jump pads, when you’re on the roof looking down at it (I think this is the right area), if you turn around and back track a little bit and look down to the left, sometimes there’s a chest on a series of blocks that you have to jump down to because you can’t jump up the blocks. The rest are fairly obvious if you just look.

I’m just playing/grinding solo and don’t have any of these problems ^^.

Same, all my friends are sleeping so I’m playing solo - I’d say it’s significantly easier too. Played the first match with a full party (3 players) and it was a lot harder! You do get revives though, which is nice.

I’ve only been able to find 5 of the 10 you get from Loot Chests (so with all side-missions completed I get 45 Ops points). The treasure hunt continues…

I finally managed to find all the chests! They were right there in front of my eyes the whole time!
You can complete everything else and when Attikus starts opening the final door before Aria, you can just go through the whole level again looking for the chests you missed on the way there - and no hurry, Attikus is a patient man… thing.

Much like large loot chests in the regular missions, the small chests with bonus Ops Points in them spawn in specific places, but not all places will be occupied by a chest on a particular playthrough.

However unless you know you’re doing a run that could earn you a reward for finding all 10, there’s little reason to track every last one down.

But it’s fun!

I also might have a problem. I have to open every single chest. I also have to find every single chest. No matter what. My teammates can be dying, the objective might be getting destroyed… But I’ve gotta get that Loot.
I have to collect every shard too. I’m always left with about 10k shards I don’t need for anything. But I gotta.

In my experience and based on everyone I’ve meet, the max chest OPs points we’ve found is 8. Meaning a max score of 98, so it may be glitched. Making 100 impossible at the moment.
