[How To] Resolve 'last token read' problem

In this post, we post all step to resolve this fu***** issue related with steam.

The “last token read …” it’s caused by a corrupt big file.

The way to resolve it ? If the error is on the HWRM, you need to delete and re-dl the game (or to delete the .big contain the file corrupted and to verify via steam HWRM).
If the error is on one mod, you need to download it again, but, Steam keep save of this mod on the workshop folder.

[ You have this problem on this post, but it’s really old : Mod crashes on startup for only *SOME* players with “General Error” ? Steam corrupting our .big file? ]

This is the original post have made, but some people don’t follow this, so i post new thread, and need to stick this to show the solution.

So, locate you’re Homeworld RM game folder. By default, if you don’t change the path :

[X]:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Homeworld\HomeworldRM\DATAWORKSHOPMODS[Number][Number of the mod]\

X : It’s the Hard Drive letter, change if you don’t have this letter.

If you change the path :

[…]:…\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Homeworld\HomeworldRM\DATAWORKSHOPMODS[Number][Number of the mod]\

Don’t delete now this folder. To begin the process, go on steam, and go to the mod page, un-subscribe to mod, and close steam.

Go to SteamApps folder of the previous path. You see other folder in this sub-folder. common (yeah !) and one folder call “workshop”. Go into this folder.

…\workshop\content[Number 244160 [HWRM Apps n°] ][Number of the mod]

This sub-folder, is the save. Delete this.

After this operation, go to first location.

…\common\Homeworld\HomeworldRM\DATAWORKSHOPMODS[Number][Number of the mod]\

Delete the folder of the mod.

Launch steam and subscribe to the mod. Steam begins the download of the mod.

Launch the mod, and see the difference. You have little chance for the other corrupt file on the big. So, you need to make this solution until have no more the problem.
