Thereâs so many people in this thread that have said she is so fast that I thought was taking crazy pills. Sheâs not fast and she canât sprint while attacking. She is not terminator people are trying to make her out to be in here. RoR at level 4 is her only reliable way of shaking melees all up in her grill.
increase attack distance a tad bit more IMO. Longer channeling the more DPS it deals.
You canât just break line of site with a character. Thatâs essentially just telling people not to fight her.
Engaging from a distance also doesnât work, seeing as how she can either just walk around a corner and heal up or simply walk right up to you. Sunspots with almost zero CD are also good area denial weapons to keep you from being able to camp anywhere.
Run around a rock. Or a corner. Up some stairs, anything.
I do it all the time. Its fairly easy, and unless youâre already mostly dead, you have a really damn long time before it kills you.
I was playing as Ambra. I saw a Deane with maybe 5% health. I chased her all the way back to her supply station. It out healed my damage.
Iâve been trying to stay out of this discussion but your quote is the same niggling question in my mind. I main Ambra so I know how fast she moves and I too have absolutely no idea what the heck they are talking about either.
Iâm talking about breaking line of sight when she locks on, which it seems like most other people can and manage to do. Iâm sorry you are so salty about Ambra, but you seem to stick your fingers and your ears and canât/wonât hear suggestions people offer to you to deal with her. Again, she has the lowest DPS in the game with her primary. Every other BB can out damage her. Itâs not a death sentence when her primary starts attacking you. Sheâs not even close to the fastest character in the game, so you can usually out maneuver her. If you canât or wonât try to use these tactics then I suggest you avoid engaging her all together. Some characters just arenât meant to deal with other characters. Shayne is gonna have a tough time against Benedict, thatâs just how it is. Perhaps whoever you mainly play just isnât meant to be a counter to Ambra. That doesnât mean sheâs broken or needs to be nerfed.

What platform do you mainly play? Iâm on PS4 and havenât seen or accidentally done this once in a decent amount of hours spent playing Ambra. Iâm thinking itâs a weird glitch native to PC.
I play on PC and have Ambra mastered, and have never run across the glitch. So if it is on PC it isnât easy to run across.

I didnât know ambra only had 1 attack oh wait she doesnât. Literally my first time using ambra i had 8 kills and 3 deaths it was a capture match. I read the information on how to play her only. So first part of the match i take the capture point closest sneak behind the other team found an oscar mike sucked his got about full heat set a sunspot down hit him with my secondary a bunch that had extra damage while he was in a sun and then he tried to run away and i sucked the rest of his health it was that easy. I as a first timer should not be able to try once and win
I personally think an easy way to fix ambra would be to make it so her primary attack would not life steal or gain heat unless it was from health damage only or slow down the heat process immensely personally i donât think ambras primary attack is cancer i think its what comes with it. more damage on your secondary, life steal, not to mention after you get more damage on your secondary the timer for sunspots is almost non-existent so now you set up another sunspot.

Its a video game, the basics are fairly similiar to other things youâve already done. Its not magic, people can be competent the first time they pick up a character quite easily, especially if youâve seen them in action before.
You used he basic melee loop, and you came up on a relatively squishy character, thatâs not really a surprise.
Her melee loop shouldnât be as powerful as it is especially when ambra is as versatile as she is. She is best healer in the game at the moment, her helixes are godsend, she levels up easily since she gets assist from miles away, and much more the thing about versatility is supposed to be you excel at nothing but i find that ambra is almost never at a true disadvantage and i use her with ease. Ambra just has to much passively life steal skill that practically life steals a second shield a way to lower her best skillâs cool down that is easy while someone like pheobe as a passive gets her second attack that she kind of deserves anyway and a â â â â skill with an ok skill
Her starting life steal is 30% of 45 dps at level 1. That is 13 life a second if you use nothing but her primary. This grows to a whopping 40 life per second at level 10. Her shield is 300. Which means a âsecond shieldâ takes her almost half a minute at the beginning of the game, and 10 seconds of using the lowest DPS attack in the game against a level 10 character at level 10.
That is in no way shape or form âtoo muchâ. Thatâs pitiful. She has the lowest DPS in the game (and canât crit), worst in-combat healing than all the healers (minus maybe Kleese), lowest health of all the healers, and her main attack canât crit.
She is also the only melee healer btw, so sheâs the only healer who has to get in your face to attack. She doesnât excel at any one thing; she is okay at a few things that can be combined into an effective whole.
If an Oscar Mike, for instance who actually knows what heâs doing fights Ambra, both at full health, he should pretty much win every time.
Her single target healing lags behind Miko and Alani by miles. She barley out heals Reyna (if Rey takes Vital Protocol at level 4) but not by much. She is literally middle of the road in healing.
She has 30% life steal by default. At level 1 she does 70 DPS (FYI, thatâs the lowest DPS of all Battleborn), which means she receives 21 life per second of damage. Holy ish. Watch out for all that sustainment! Even if you take the helix option to boost her life steal to 45% it alone is not enough to sustain her in a prolonged fight. I honestly donât understand what you were trying to say here. I think youâre saying her entire kit as well as her kitâs synergy is too good. Itâs true her attacks and skills work well together. She has a great kit and her abilities synergize really well. That doesnât make her over powered or broken though. It just means you can do well if you use her entire kit wisely.
