HW1:RM Mission 4 crashes - capturing Ion Array Frigates?

Hi everyone,

I’m having consistent crashes happening on Mission 4 after the Ion Array frigates appear. The crashes seem to occur when I begin capturing them. A number of other people have reported the same issue on the Steam forum. What’s going on?! Capturing ships is a huge part of building a fleet in Homeworld.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t know of anyone having issues there and I certainly didn’t. Anything of interest in your HWRM.log after the crash occurs? (…\Steam\steamapps\common\Homeworld\HomeworldRM\Bin\Release)

There are a few on steam, I’m really not making that up lol. Here’s a link I quickly found: http://steamcommunity.com/app/244160/discussions/1/617329150710978590/

As for HWRM.log, it looks interesting but perhaps not related to the crash:

Check your texture limit setting under the video options and see if you’re running at 4096 or higher. If so, drop it to 2048 and see if it crashes.

Thanks for the reply scole. I have it set at 2048.

Then drop it to 1024 and see if it still crashes. That crash log indicates your video card ran out of memory so I’m trying to drill it down some.
