I got threatened by a player on this game

  1. Use the “report player” function in XBox to report them to MS; you may also want to block their GT.
  2. If they option to report player is available when you review the game in your BB match history, use it to report them to GBX
  3. Forget about it. Raging gamers are full of hot air and say things they shouldn’t (especially if they’re playing while drunk and/or high). Extremely unlikely that they’d actually do anything serious though.

Report him with the ingame option PLUS report him on XBoxLive as soon as possible. (Be sure to include game/match ID, username, account data, ect, and at best the message/threat he send you, in case it was text message.)

If he really threatenend your life its a serious crime and it won´t get tolerated. The XB-report system is pretty helpfull, you can block him too to avoid future problems.

If both ways don´t lead to a result you should contact GBX-support, but first report him ingame and wait what follows - it might take a few days to get an answer & more infos. Be patient there.

I hope that helps.

@VaultHunter101 ´s tip No.3 is most important! Report him, talk to the report/support if needed, but don´t loose your head about this. Even if a threat like this is a crime he was most likely just a little troll trying to scare you. Don´t let him win by baiting you - Game on and eat some icecream

i hope your right, he said he was reporting me for so called "rage quitting* then it turned into him wanting to do physical harm to me.

Sounds like a typical rage gamer. Ive had my share of those types.

I wouldnt worry too much of this guy. Guarantee hes moved on and raging at someone else now. But do report him.

though he won the game he was angry because i lost connection for the moment and got back only to see the message of him calling me a scrub then it escalated from there.

Block him. Dont continue communication with him. That’s what he wants. Don’t give him what he wants.

Some people get bent out of shape very easily, unfortunately. The good news is that MS looks into things like voice chat and other communication records, so this player has pretty much hurt themselves. Just make sure you do block their GT though (you can see them in the “recent players” list or whatever it’s called when you look through the social/friends options).

Kind of repeating what’s been said, but report him and move on. He can’t/won’t do anything, but is still toxic.

I’d kindly reply to his message with a suggestion that he plays CoD, this kind of toxicity is unwanted and wont be tolerated in our community. People like this wont find friends to play with because of their attitude and eventually they’ll be phased out either way.

Let’s not make this about other forum users, please.

get cain and able and john the ripper and hop in a match with him then put that ip down like a dying dog hahaha

Report and then try to forget him - he’s an idiot. I know that can be easier said than done of course. I’ve heard plenty of horrible stuff including r*pe and death threats. It can be quite upsetting. If I can, these days I laugh at these people, then try to move on asap. I just don’t get why this culture exists in video games. It’s never stopped me playing, but I know it does stop others.

I thought his name was jack the ripper?

You know what’s funny? It has been awhile since I’ve seen any toxic players on CoD. I’ve seen more on Overwatch and Battleborn

When’s the next installment of CoD due to drop? Maybe that will relieve the toxicity elsewhere for a bit…

November 4th.

Wait, there are non-toxic CoD players?!

That is what I said, yes.
