That’s the Marcus markup at work. If you were telling him she saved Pandora, he’d only except at most 3 times. (I’m thinking she gets partial credit for the Warrior; either that or Elpis blowing up in TPS would have done horrible things to Pandora)
As DEVs clearly said during livestream Borderlands 3 just sets some things in motion for Borderlands 4, the real “war” will be in the next game where your vault hunter will be the main hero I guess, this is a introduction to a larger scale explore more planets etc, if you ask me we wont wait too much for Borderlands 4, I am 70% sure Borderlands 4 will launch in 2 and half years from now on
Agreed, and you forgot she lost the map we got so much trouble to get in BL2…
More than this, sometime she call me recruit (or the english equivalent) instead of Ark Hunter.
Odd. In the English version I remember “killer” and “vault hunter”. I don’t remember anything like “recruit” though. Then again, your character is a new recruit to the Crimson Raiders when you start BL3.
The word she use to call us in French is diminishing… Even at the end of the game after i my character saved everybody she continue to call me Recruit… I will switch in english to see…
Making mistakes doesn’t make someone a villain. She didn’t do any of that stuff you listed on purpose, except wanting to execute Athena. Even the somewhat spineless stuff they do in presequel was led by good intentions, and she had no way of knowing what Jack would do after that.
As for the Ava stuff, yeah, but that’s at the very end of bl3.
- Hector
- Destroyer
- General Knoxx
- Claptrap’s Revolution
- Teleporting Sanctuary kinda counts
probably a bunch of times in all those years we know little about
I’m unsure how Lilith is to blame for Roland’s death. She could be to blame for getting captured, but they needed her help to kill Angel so Jack would have gotten his siren either way.
TPS has her in a vaguely antagonistic role but its clear she’s acting irrationally because of Roland’s death and by Claptastic Voyage its clear that there’s no hard feelings between her and Athena. The Commander Lilith DLC reinforced that her heart’s in the right place.
Is she a good person? Hard to say, but really Roland and Maya are basically the only morally good protagonists. Everyone else is a dick to varying degrees- its just a general Pandoran thing.
Well yes - after the first two pipes were destroyed the bridges got removed. So unless Roland knew how to rocket jump that would have been game over.
Yeah, pretty much all this.
Roland was a trained soldier - there’s no sense comparing how things went under him vs under her.
I think her portrayal and arc is pretty real, for what we know about her. It wasn’t pretty, she made mistakes, and things went to hell multiple times, but she never pretended things weren’t her fault or weren’t her responsibility. And in the end she used the strengths she did have to save what was left of everything she cared about.
She was many things, but “villain” is not one of them.
Shes the last person who should be deciding who should lead next. I’ll tell you that.
If you believed what you said you would feel like her dying for everyone was the best because clearly she was going to just keep screwing up everything anyway…

I don’t agree or disagree because Lilith isn’t a real human being and any feedback about how I feel about a fictional character is just a signpost for the level of insanity I am suffering from.
and yet if lilith wasn’t there like angel asked her not to be, she wouldn’t have been captured by jack.
She forced herself in on the mission, knowing she would be captured. Lilith is the pregnant lady with handsome jack in those bl3 paintings…
That I don’t believe. Angel was already alive in BL1 when Lilith arrives on the planet, and her mother already dead.
I don’t think so, either. But, if it somehow turns out to be true, you heard it here, first.
What’s worse, a character you hate being “killed” as a hero (and not sure about the death) ?
Or a character you love being killed like an insect and then used as a taunt and humiliation through the game ?
The heroes are “forced heroes”. Everyone has something wrong and are prompt to kill. Lilith did fine and suffered greatly., I believe she always tried her best.
I’m jealous of Lilith because someone else’s story was just cut off in favor of a new character…
I made it my mission to avenge the death. But, why I just stood and watched, without trying to help… I can’t explain. Frozen in fear, perhaps? Lazy? Morbidly curious?
At least I can tell my counselor that we can shelf mommy issues, for a while. We have a new topic to discuss…
BTW if you look at his plan to get into power, it’s a terrible plan that could be diverted 50 different ways.
Sign me the hell up!!
