I agree. I absolutely love all of the new reskins far more than the ones in the base game, except Mellka’s reskins which I find quite lacklustre. You can barely see the colours in it. She will always be yellow and purple for me.
I’d like to know why.

Do you have a quote on recoloring? The article is too big for something that is just a technical task.

That article is a slice of what actually goes into making a game. If people aren’t willing to read it, then they aren’t truly interested in understanding why some things don’t meet up with player expectations.
I highly recommend anyone that is/has been critical of game developers and the work they produce to read it.

hey guys, lets chill out juuuuuust a bit. we’re here to celebrate the skins, or at the very least give constructive critiques about the skins they released, not bash a basic aspect of the game…
I will agree that mellka’s are slightly underwhelming and hope they go out of their way to give her some love in the next skins released. but theres definite WAY more good and amazing than there are slightly bad

I’m talking about a simple, pure technical task and you disagree with me providing a big article on something several degrees more general.
Yes, it might be not so simple for GBX artists to choose colors (but still it’ll take the same time to make a recolor), but you don’t know why exactly. It also might be exactly that simple, though, and that article has nothing on BB’s skins to prove me wrong. I’m not going to rely on all the possible mights we can think of.
Yes. Every Operation will have two new skins for all characters, using the same ops point unlocking strategy.
The skins are, of course, different each DLC. I imagine there are some others that will be very popular, and some others that you won’t like as much. We tried to hit a fairly wide range of preferences.
Personally, I think we did a better job on the Ops skins than we did the ones in the core game. That’s kind of how development works…you get better as you go.

Will there also be 3 new taunts for each Operation?
I have to say, I personally think you folks did a phenomenal job on the dlc skins. And I absolutely love the new oscar mike taunt!

I love the skins. More than some of the paid skins. And the taunt was I thought pretty good. Why are they so bad?
They’re kinda like the alternate colors in street fighter 2. One could like a blue blanka, but I don’t remember any enthusiasm for that, neither in 1991 kids.
The new skins are great and the new op is a blast to play through! It took a while to release, but it is so fun to play and I can’t pkay to play the next 4 Ops!

I havent seen the taunts but the skins are nothing more than what we already have. Palette swaps. Not saying all palette swaps are bad. I like Alani’s skin you get from the ops but I’m certainly not going to applaud GBX for more of the same.
And I can understand that
I was previously setting all my characters to the Rank 8 Orange skins, but the majority of the ones I have unlocked so far have gotten so far have been switched to the new DLC Gold Skin because it looks so good on many characters!!
Regardless of whether I am 100% on every skin that comes through, some of us also just like having things to unlock! It’s an achievement in itself to say you scored 85+ points on every character through the Op!

I really love the skins and the DLC are so great that I can’t stop playing it since launch. And that whiskey foxtrot taunt are pure genius. (sorry for the bad English, not my native language).
