There is a gun in BL2 called the Hawkeye that has a 500% crit bonus, but it has a significantly lowered base damage. It doesnāt do very well.

Yeah, the Major Tom and Explosives Torques (yeah, im deliberately spelling it with a Q now LOL) are the only ARs i use, and not all that often at that!

Dont miss the pimp or e tech weapons one bit. And if i do feel like using the pimp for some reason. I can just play bl2

Yeah, I miss the pimp. It would be so cool with cryo too! 
What I really miss are the scav type ar rifles but they were solid in bdl1. Clips of 90 bullets and solid damage with a good fire rate. I was so excited to see them back in tps buttttt they suck

I bet a Cryo Shredifier with Aureliaās accuracy increasing skills would ve pretty sick!
I gotta get one of those for my Aurelia.
I love the shredifier. But in bdl1 those were almost what the assault rifles were. At least they seemed like that. In tps rat-a-tat ARs are close but they lack power

Torque had these incredibly accurate incredibly fast firing SMGs in BL1.
Torque was not all about the explosions back then!

Apart from that ridiculous glitch with Salvador, the Pimpernel was balanced due to its learning curve. Hitting that āsweet spotā on moving targets really isnāt that easy. Auto - win weapons like the DPUH or the old Rosie are far more problematic, imho.

the pimp was great and aurelia would like a cryo one! plus there is no bee shield to make it op, imo. i would dual wield a pimp and lyuda with sal and his legendary hoarder mod, so much death and fun!
As much as I love the Pimpernel, Iām happy that itās not in the game this time. We have new cool toys, thatās better 
Any gun that can one-shot an OP8 shielded marauder without slag or matching element would be ridiculous in TPSās scaling.
Yes it was āsortaā balanced with itās learning curveā¦ But not nearly enough to compensate for itās ridiculous payoff.
It was OP in Salās handsā¦ And Zeroāsā¦ And Mayaāsā¦ And arguably Gaigeā¦ And the last 2 could still use it very well still.
I shudder to think what Nisha could do with itā¦ Showdown aims very close to the fabled sweet spot when shooting from the hipā¦ And the orbs could crit even if you donāt shoot right thanks to tombstone. ā¦and thatās not even factoring in if itās cryoā¦ I donāt see myself using anything elseā¦ Ever.
Or what Athena could do with a shock one and 600 stacks of maelstromā¦ (See @BookEmDanoās thread on the subject for a glimpse of the nightmare it could be)

Athena can do anything with anything once she has enough Maelstrom.
Also, since showdown increases bullet speed, that would make the Pimp less useful? Still, Unforgiven, trick shot and Tombstone with the Pimpernel would kill everything.
