People who don’t love the game don’t mind reading forums about it

At least you understand that the report button only serves as a false security method for those that feel hurt. It helps them feel better to know that something bad might happen to the person getting reported. That’s across all games. As long as it doesn’t hurt the game economy or the way the company makes profits reporting someone in game doesn’t affect them

Honestly, this is PS4 Incursion atm as well. Last night an excellent team running Gali/Ghalt/Kleese/Ambra/Ernest with military precision pretty much had the mode locked down (keeping in mind a team of five is probably a quarter of the whole population in Oceania prime time.) the other modes were dead. So we just went to sleep. :frowning:

You mean that team put us to sleep.

By force.

Holy moly they were good.

One of those games where the sentry shield goes down at full, you blink, and there’s no sentry at all…

This was my experience all night tonight. Me and my friends got hate mail a lot. I got messages from 3 different people, and they all got messages from different people. Never had this happen before but tonight made me really salty. What’s insane is that these people were always doing the worst on our team and yet still felt the need to flame us for literally anything and everything they could think of. One guy said my gamer score was lower than the opponents so that made me “less of a gamer” and therefore inferior to them. Not that GS means anything, but my XB1 account is only a few months old-- I literally got an X1 to play Battleborn, no joke. My 360 account had over 180,000 GS. He felt like a fool when I told him this. But just the nerve that these people had…

Could the toxic PC population be trickling into the X1 community? Not sure, but I tried real hard not to lose it tonight. I can’t stand negativity and hostility, especially when it is baseless and directed straight at me

I’ve definitely encountered these problems on PC - it’s really annoying! I’m hoping for a good anti-cheat system. I know the reporting system is a work in progress. @JoeKGBX, don’t suppose you’ve got any update about that? I remember discussing it with you recently.

I will say though (and definitely not trying to deny or diminish your difficulties) that hackers aren’t ruining my own PC game experience. Like you I find matches pretty easy to find when I have a 5-man team (usually almost instant tbh) and though I do have to wait a few minutes later when I’m soloing or in a smaller team I don’t spend my life in matchmaking.

I wouldn’t say the pool of gamers always have a cheater in by any means. It’s hard to say with subtler hacks but I’ve spotted one or two people who I’d say were clearly aimbotting. I’ve never structured team comp about it. For me, though I find hackers annoying it’s much more their loss than mine - they’re cheating themselves out of proper games.

I actually think the game has a decent, friendly community. I feel really comfortable using my mic and often get treated with respect and willingness to work together - much more than can be said when DotA players hear a female voice.

Some of my games are so unbalanced it isn’t fun, and a lot are spoiled by rage quitters, but I’m getting a lot of challenging, fun matches. It makes me sad to think other players aren’t because the game is clearly capable of delivering!

I play on PC and I haven’t run into cheaters in a long time. Last time was about 2 months ago vs a Marq. I’m just being patient and hoping for the best, 9 got faith in gearbox and I’m sure the next big patch will turn things around

What a sad tale …

I feel you, @Qmzn

/Gunz.

I really hope so too. One of the things the game needs most of all is word out there about what it has to offer as well as its faults. I already have lots to say about this and I’m not the only one, but the more Battleplan good news the better. This game really deserves a future, including on PC… in any case as it currently stands, if I divide the amount I paid by the number of hours I currently have (and there will be more) I paid about 10p per hour of entertainment, which isn’t a bad rate.

I’ve met with someone that matches your description, and he was super duper nasty. Had to tell myself it wasn’t worth losing my cool over, but just the thought that someone like him could exist sickened me to the core. Like, really, I wanted to stab him with a butter knife. Repeatedly. Between the eyes. Wish there was something gearbox could do, or that there was some kind of blacklist/block system.

Wow, that sounds bad. Just really abusive? I quite like to shout back with a few choice swearwords when I come up against that kind of person, but these days I try to just ignore them. ‘If you wrestle with a pig, you get dirty and the pig likes it…’

I think Flakka is worse

I’m really worried for the pc community, games die so fast on them most of the time, what especially worries me is that us console players will be ditched because of this too (they need some free weekends for PC)

If you feel the need to continually bash the game and the guys behind it, I suggest moving on. Commenting your dislike of it and it’s fans serves no purpose at this point.

Wow that hacker better not meet you in person whole you have those intents haha

Is it possible to like your post more than once?

no, I think they were always there. It’s not relegated to console/PC. These dbags have been playing this game the whole time. I think they are getting more vocal about it with the increasing anger of matchmaking in general.

Just an update – a friend of mine pointed me to a forum post on a site that sells cheats, where the player I mentioned in the OP praises the cheat “creators”, freely admitting to cheating around the time of Battleborn’s retail launch.

Naturally, I won’t be posting the link as it violates multiple forum rules, but for those that know the name of the player, it’s not hard to find in a search.

I wish Battleborn had the anti-cheat of Overwatch – if that were the case, players like this would have seen a lifetime ban months ago.

Hi Raamzilla or should I say king of clap aka El Dragon!

I have the same feeling as you

I have played against a few shifty characters but there was a Ghalt recently pulling allies through minion waves and through the walls on overgrowth which seemed very suspicious. I hope that if people do cheat they realise they will have no one left to play with.

As for abusive players I know of one who I wish I could not watch his chat. He was attacking our Miko of over 800 games and telling them how to play. They are always on tilt and really rude.
