It appears that projectile multiplication has been completely patched out as of the 7/23 patch.

Tested the Recursion, Carrier, and a Lucian’s Call. No additional ricochets from any elemental damage source – skills, class mod, gun anoint, shield/grenade anoint.

As far as I know, bullet multiplication was never an intended game mechanic, so while it was fun, its days were probably numbered.

I guess so, I wouldn’t mind if it weren’t the only thing making guns like the carrier even close to worth using. There needed to be corresponding buffs at the same time.

I remember using the Projectile Recursion at launch on my first character. I was level 30 and no anointments back them. It worked.

I still think the Projectile Recursion will still be good for mobbing.

It is okay in terms of damage output, I just don’t know why you would use it over weapons that can hit multiple targets at one.

Because it still has a natural ricochet to each bullet as well as (Amara’s) indiscriminate having a chance to create a new weaker bullet.

This nerf just brought the gun to pre-anointment levels. I enjoyed the gun a launch before it was made stupid broken and I’ll still enjoy the gun. Amara was the best one for this gun anyway, but it can still be used on Moze, Fl4k, or Zane.
