I'm done with battleborn

If you’re behind 2 levels you’re at a big disadvantage… if you’re missing on levels then there’s a few things you are probably not doing.

SHARDS! Gather them and spend them… the ones in the middle, the ones by the base, the ones everywhere. The more shards you get and spend (on the map not your gear) the faster you level up. The ones by the base are worse more than the shards closer to mid (except the large shards) so if you back ALWAYS get the shards back there, and spend them on any turret you can get your hands on.

Kill minions, you get a LOT of XP off of minion kills, and thrall camps.

Get assists when you can, even on minions.

If you’re playing a sniper or support or something like that it may be a little harder to get your XP and levels, if that’s the case then consider grabbing a money item so you can buy more turrets on map.

We tend to merge threads once we see where the conversation is headed towards when the user expresses a initial difficulty or concern. As at times, it develops independently and can be considered a new conversation.

No offense, but if you’re honestly quitting a game completely after it’s been out for a week due to one thing, you may not really like the game that much to begin with…

Pretty much anyone can beat er if you actually try but most people just want any char they dont like nerfed to make it easier for them.

Weren’t you just calling for a nerf for Ambra a few days ago, and when they did nerf her you complained that she was useless?

Like 0 recognition that the Devs heeded yours and other players requests… so considering that they were responsive enough to fix that problem, don’t you feel they will fix problems such as Galilea, Matchmaking, and the Marquis/incursion glitch?

Like I said, I don’t think your opinion will change, as your mind already seems made up. But just saying, give the Devs a chance to correct these errors without jumping off of the deep end.

wow, nice score !

Nope. The ability to shoot the enemy sentry on Overgrowth was a massive issue day one of the beta. It wasn’t fixed during the beta and it hasn’t been fixed at release.

This game is rated positively on steam by about 77% of people.
I think 10% of those are just people complaining that the PvE isn’t what they wanted since they assumed this was another borderlands game. I think Battleborn could easily have had 90% positive reviews if this stuff had been fixed. In addition to that, major review labels such as IGN, gamespot, and allllll the others have been reviewing the game for the past week and may play a few more days before posting an official review.

That means that all of these issues will be covered in that review, and that may very well be enough to prevent people from buying this game. In addition to that, Overwatch is a huge threat to sales and the playerbase in general. Having these kinds of issues at launch is what will help Blizzard ‘win’ the fight and will ultimately culminate in this game’s playerbase dying out rather quickly.

Loadout, a game which died in a matter of weeks had very similar issues. They would pitch very level high players against people who had just started and it ruined the experience. There were a bunch of OP combos and builds in the game and it immediately turned everyone off to it.

There are a few responces, but there are more in the dev tracker.

@chairman7wjr this isn’t really directed at you I just wanted to show everyone here they are working on it

Thank you, any update from the meeting when the first patch might be or possible fixes that will come with it?

I’m just a mod, not an employee so we don’t have that info.

Yeah Gali will get fixed, idtga should be one shot per combo rotation, shield stun should be traited in to and the base ability should be used for corruption gain. She shouldn’t have a silence at all as she already has defenses against ranged and Melee primaries that can kill people if she just holds her shield up. It stands to reason she shouldn’t have a counter for skills on top of that.

That said if they didn’t change her I’d just do what I always do when I see Gali (or Rath for that matter): run.

The problem is the launch numbers are so small and the player numbers over the weekend were even smaller than at launch. That is incredibly discouraging. There are so many things driving players out of the game, that if you see something that seems broken enough, reducing the numbers even to the point of not being played makes sense this early. It is better to be under powered than over powered this early. You deal with underpowered characters by not picking them. You deal with overpowered characters by hoping yours snowballs faster or is the better player, which is incredibly unfun for most players who do not get to play the imba one.

There is also the fact that Galilea has had issues for a while now. It isn’t like this issue got raised the day of launch.

Today’s steam numbers

The right hand column is what they topped out at for the day and the left hand column is the current player count. No idea what UK chart they topped, but it isn’t helping their player count.

They had 12k players on Tuesday last week at launch and they topped out at around 9k players on Saturday. I am still hoping that this coming weekend without Overwatch pulling people into their beta we will have better numbers.

I almost hate steam for even letting me see these numbers.

Wierd. I play ps4 and I’ve seen a lot of new blood online as of late. Many new low levels etc.

Gali changes incoming

Yeah?

Oh thank god… Maybe there is some hope. My best guess is that it’s another baby nerf though.

I can feel your frustration, a big patch is needed urgently for balance.
If it makes you feel any better, having recently played crap ton of Overwatch it suffers even bigger balance issues than Battleborn. Some could argue it’s by design but there is some seriously game-breakingly OP classes in Overwatch such as Turrets and the Archer which can pretty much win on their own. Without exaggerating: the Archer can kill most classes with a single shot, turrets can pretty much kill anyone within 2 seconds (I counted). So Battleborn definitely isn’t unique in having these sorts of issues.

I am definitely willing to give Battleborn more chances with each patch as I believe Gearbox can fix the game

I will be playing both games in the future!
