No, i don’t. When it proc, it’s a click machine. Between 5 to 6 recharge/second, when it doesnt… i usually think i don’t have enough tesla around to make it procs.
Can we even electrocute ennemies without shields ? Or with shields ?
Oh ! I never thought i would test something with the dummies in deck 13&1/5 but i guess i have to now.

Anyone have any tips about how to prevent him from “glitching” out and respawning with full health and shields?
Happened a couple times against Eclipse, which I eventually overcame, died on the 3rd time against EOS when I ran out of ammo and the ammo stations couldn’t replenish fast enough.
I understand this is something to do with registering “outside” the arena, but I try to stay in the middle too and it doesn’t seem to stop it. I’m not talking about when he phases out and summons minions and charges his shields, I’m talking about him starting back at 100% for both health and shields.
I always didn’t get why it didn’t activate when I clearly had a shock effect going on. Confirmed it with the dummies, it seems it’s far more likely to charge your shields if you stagger your shots, but even then it seems random. I’ll have to try it with a cyber eagle. Surely there has to be a “best Conduit weapon”
EDIT: Tried the cyber eagle, it’s just as inconsistent. Maybe there’s a hidden max duration and cooldown, I don’t know…Or maybe once the first shock effect wears off, it stops charging even if you reapply it
EDIT2: Yep, Conduit never seems to last longer than 2 seconds, the length of the shock effect. It seems the way to reproc it is to wait for the shock effect to wear off, then reapply it. Dammit, I hope this gets fixed. Otherwise, CS Athenas better practice 2 second beats
EDIT3: The Hard Reboot maliwan pistol seems to have a very high status effect chance, despite the weapon card info (probably the explosion). So far it shock the guy on the first shot every time.

+1 for the Moxxtails, although I was using the bullet regen one. Irritating that you have to waste about 5-8 minutes to get from the bar to the battle-site though.
+1000 to those who are puzzled/annoyed by the difficulty of this boss. Srsly, WTF? Mission bosses should not be this difficult for single-players! None of the other bosses are anywhere this frustrating! I am sure I will figure out how to take him down sooner or later, but this is ridiculous! I like to be challenged, but this is not fun. Argh!!!
Looking forward to trying some of these tips, though…

He is not easy to drop with Nisha. I can assure you of that.

I’m posting a standing offer to help someone through this (although as I say this, I’m going out of town on a business trip for a week, but otherwise…). I’m on Steam, so PC only, but if you just want to get through it, even one other player should help take the edge off. Just let me know when a convenient time is.
I’m not sure everyone knows this (I didn’t until I survived an accidental fall): you can fall in the “lava” between islands and not die. You’ll catch fire, but won’t insta-die. Not the best option, but better than eating one of those scorpion shots or EOS’ laser if you have to just jump off the edge to dodge those shots (and it’s a pretty short hop/fly to a nearby island surface).

I haven’t reached 70 with all my classes, but here’s my basic approaches on this fight, which need no preparation such as prestacking Avalanche/ I never miss / Money is power:
##Athena:
CS build, get kill skill, use unrelenting and storm weaving to build stacks and fire at the boss at free ammo from elemental barrage. Takes around 5 mins to kill him.
##Clap:
OLT Flak. Throw longbow cryo grenades to get the 3x multiplier. Should be less than 10 mins too.
##Nisha:
Tombstone flayer & luck cannons. Less than 10 mins.
##Aurelia:
Hit crit spots with droogs, scrounge for ammo when crit spot is not exposed. Roughly 10 mins?
Finally got him solo.
I think it was getting to lvl 60 and having all my main cache of weapons and such available. Really about the same weapons, just all at lvl 60 with me.
I did move around a little more this time, trying new areas. There is tower on the right hand side that seems to be good to use to keep EOS on the opposite side … most times. Lots of ammo stations along the way.
There were still a few “white outs” (with Wilhelm not Aurelia style white outs), so a very lucky 2nd wind or 2. One 2nd wind there was not even a red dot close to me on the map … so yeah … very lucky.
That is done, now I can just coop from now on.
Whew! That was tough!

Congratulations, now you can try the Arena at level 9 if you are up for a real challenge
Posted this elsewhere, I hope it’s okay to show this in the “impossible to beat the boss” thread. You may have seen this kind of thing before, it’s the good ol’ 5/5 elemental barrage at 700 stacks tastiness. Use a ZX-1, and switch to your hyperion quad as soon as you get a kill, as shown. Pay attention to Storm weaving, and when you have the kill skill active (fast switch speed), use the zx-1 until the shock effect wears off, then switch back to your shotgun. You can keep conduit going this way. EOS is much easier than Eclipse, especially if you have an Ack-Ack, but there’s plenty of fodder to feed Unrelenting. Ultimate badass Glitches are still annoying with their invincible novas, make sure to kill them quick. Good luck!

Well-done!
So, does defeating him then open up the arena slaughter mission?

Yes, you do the side mission (l33t h4x0rz) you get from Deck 13 near Deck 13 1/2 fast travel to unlock Mutator Arena.

I’ve had 1 issue with EOS. After dropping his health he phased out the first time, came back, dropped his health again then he phased out and didn’t come back. I was stuck listening to the holograms do their speeches and EOS talking. After 20 minutes of killing Ultimate badasses and those drones I gave up and reset the game…only for it to happen 3 different times. PS3 issue maybe?

I’m near the end of killing EOS–taking a break for reasons to be addressed in another post–but think I’ve figured out the pattern. I too was having problems with EOS’s shield regen. Now I think we need to do as much damage as quickly as possible to drop the shield. After the shield’s dropped it doesn’t regenerate until each difficulty level of the fight. I’m on the 3rd level of the fight now.

bastard keeps glitching on me. just when i figure the fight out with athena too.
Back to back to back hard bosses. I killed shadow and then celebrated after around 10 times. Then the 2nd boss made me sad but i ended up beating him and lost my voice celebrating. Then nothing but sadness making fight another ■■■■■■■ boss. Get 90 minutes in and die.

Happened to me on PS 3, too. I’m thinking it’s related to going solo and not being able to hit enough spawn points or something since the times I went in with a group of four the whole fight was over in less than 10 minutes. Maybe we should post this in the support section since I think there’s a glitch here that needs fixing.

I beat all three phases Shadowtrap/Eclipse/EOS on my first go as a level 70 Athena. I did have to constantly scavenge for shotgun ammo because my shock Bullpup was eating up ammo super fast but I’m very curious, is he more vulnerable to corrosive? He’s got a red health bar but he’s a giant floating machine, so I’d like to know if I can kill him faster with corrosive instead of shock.

Corrosion doesn’t build stacks, so it’s going to be slower anyway.
