Finally defeated EOS. FINALLY!
And I got a Kaneda’s Laser for the troubles, ■■■■ yeah!
Followed @Feculator guide, but used a Shrediffier, Torrent, Moxxi’s Laser and a Crowd Pleaser.
Congrats! For a story boss I think he is a bit too hard though. You basically fight the raid version of him instantly.

Indeed.
But outside this, the dlc is amazing.

It sure is. Overlook felt a bit drawn out in my opinion though. I also really like that Corrosive is a useful element in the game now.

Atleast finally a reason to farm the Marek’s Mouth again if you ask me.

No, i just compared the Boxxy with my shock torrent in optical effect of the damage done. The Torrent should do nearly double the damage of the Boxxy, at least with 11/5 AA active all the time. But the Torrent does just around 15% more damage.
One thing: if i remember it right, the Boxxy’s bullets can riccochet. Maybe that is the reason for its good damage -output.

dont know why u guys dont use an clear skies ozkit for this fight, its insane and much better then the ack ack. it gives u a flat 40-50% dmage against flying enmies (EOS) and a 50% firerate bonus after killing a flying enemy and u will kill those all the time so that bonus is working all the fight. it helped me a lot, try that out
Fire rate and reload bonus from the ack-ack helps get maelstrom stacks

Froze the game with 998 maelstrom stacks, using 4 barrel hyp shotgun, Ack Ack and Surging Storm CM with Athena v EOS on X360. Had to remove Ack Ack and use single barrel hyp shotgun to prevent freezing

I had massive slowdown already at 400 stacks, didn’t Storm Weave properly and had to swap to a Shrediffier.

I forgot about the continuous dmg boost from Maliwan Splitters. Seems that cuts off another 2mins in comparison to a Tediore Splitter.
I actually found the EOS phase much easier than the rest if the fight, I needed help to beat the Sentinel so I opened my game to public, the great thing is that if one of you dies you can respawn back to the fight without his health resetting. Solod the second phase with my 63 Nisha using a level 62 two fer luck cannon and a corrosive bullpup. Kill enemies to activate tombstone but keep the rest alive for second winds and try and hide when all hell breaks loose. Despite the red health bar he is definitely weak to corrosion when my pistol ammo ran out I finished him off with a corrosive shredifier. The one thing I wished I had was a shock bullpup because I think that would have been much better against his shield.
gosh i just made it as well. in UVHM with my Level 60 Athena. since i’m really bad at hiding, all i did was unload my storm weaving guns at the crit spot all the time.
but i had to farm/grind for the best possible gear. otherwise, i am just not skilled enough.
constantly switched between the following, to keep Storm Weaving active:
60 shock Bullpup, 60 shock Hail, 60 shock Boxxy, 59 glitched shock Maliwan Blaster. everytime the glitch started, it was just awesome!!!
when his shield was gone, i unequipped the shock Bullpup and equipped a 60 Practicable Viral Marketeer. like the guy above said, he really seems to be a bit weak to corrosive.
other Equipment:
60 Homing Storm Front, mainly for the minions and building stacks,
60 shock Ack Ack
58 Celestial Gladiator class mod
and the 59 Shield of Ages (new Hyperion shield), awesome shield, just when i switched to it, i could make it.
so yeah, for me, unskilled as i am, it was a gear check fight.
way tooooo hard for a non Invincible Boss in my opinion. i felt, like i beat a Raid Boss alone.

For Eclipse - in the middle of the arena when you jump in, the spires on the sides, down near the ammo generators. it is a good place to hide behind and shoot him from. if you get to the right spot you can hide from nearly every attack of his and still get crits, and he doesnt move around alot. you only need to be careful of the adds at you back and the couple of rockets that make it around the spires. he became fairly easy when i figured that out.
for EOS - i stand up on the top of that same area and just strafe.
Eclipse is a bitch - EOS is easy

Bullet sponge would mean he had very poor or non exzisting mechanics and that’s not the case with this boss. He sure tanks a lot of dmg though.

I finally avoided the glitch where EOS doesn’t return and beat it by pounding the eye with a glitched shock blaster and finished it off with a Globber when I ran out of laser. Man, I hated that glitching! I’m a lvl 53 Wilhelm specced left and right for the most part. I also give credit to the Shield of Ages. FFYL only a couple times!

same here. Shield of Ages was my match changer!
I just beat him in TVHM with claptrap, by staying in the jump-pad/ tube near the entrance at the left. He could barely hit me, it was mostly his minions which messed with me. And gun wizard refills all ammo which is nice.
Used glitch weapons mostly, gotta say, a green glitch smg with funzerker is a sight to behold.

Is there a trick to get him to come back after he disappears? I’ve beat him a number of times, but my last 2 attempts he hasn’t returned. I tried dropping in a 2p…didn’t work.
