Aurelia is really cool. I quite enjoy Derch’s videos on her. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of mechanics in the game which make her less than ideal for me to play…but a lot of the mechanics in TPS make my usual play…uh…difficult?

Heh. Cryo.
I didn’t like her at all. She just didn’t feel as good as previous snipers, very lackluster with some silly skills. The idea was good, but I thought the execution was poor. Then there was her rubbish right skill tree.
I’m a bit of a, uh… So yeah, I found that tree hilarious, making randos my servant was a big LOL. But she was so boring compared to the rest, very basic. Real shame.

Idk, Custom Loads is a really neat sniper concept, her I Never Miss is interesting in the way it builds and goes away. Large Caliber is an interesting one. There’s also some neat stuff in the “co-op” tree for single player, but if you play with friends, it’s a great way to buff both parties and make the game interesting in that way.
Oh, maybe my Clappy friend and I should try that

When the game was released, I used to kick every Clappy (My lobby was always online public) until I met this Aussie bloke who had an insane explosive build and never used his action skill.
He was brilliantly designed, just as annoying as intended, but he could also be brutally strong. I only used him for the trophy then promptly deleted. I loved how much I hated him.

My Clappy friend is also the Zer0 who accidentally gave my Gaige a piggy back ride across the desert trying to revive me while I just unloaded a Heartbreaker wondering how I was moving so fast. To us the game is as much about the hangs as it is about the play. So, I will LOVE their Clappy giving chaotic action skill hell to me
I’ll just call them names during it.
On Topic: Catharsis on my Sniper Amara is gonna WRECK. I think.

I have a friend or two like that, but mostly I play for the wreckage.
I’m the one person on whose threads this doesn’t matter, I derail my own posts
But yes, Catharsis is one of the reasons why I want the level cap already lol. That and Conflux. I’m just not satisfied with any builds that go that far down FotE right now.

Oh, my entire style is Derailment, so, I feel that. I think someone derailed the Shocket Launcher post and I was just like “is cool!”
But yeah, there. Are. So. Many. Good. Skills.
In BL2 I was mad that all the good skills were spread out and it was hard to get the ones I NEEDED because they were locked behind unnecessary skills to my builds.
Here, I just want them allllll and I can’t decide.
Off topic, but nooooo don’t hate on Aurelia… Aurelia is the only reason I load up the presequel sometimes. Shredding EOS through his shields with a Longnail never gets old. There are shades of Aurelia in Amara’s skill tree too, the double element capstone, Do Unto Others reminds me of bitter riposte. All the elemental effect chance from middle tree could make her pretty effective with Cryo too.
But on topic. How come nobody is talking about Remnant! Homing projectile that does overkill damage. That’s like a single-use bloodsplosion! Sounds just as good as catharsis to me and why not have both at once for more EXPLOSIONS?! Plus imagine if all this stuff is buffed by her splash damage skill.

Yes, yes, and yes.
That’s why we theory craft! I get more excited about games like this three months before release than I do three months after lol. I have a Zane idea or two, maybe I’ll write them up next.

That’s the great thing about the Borderlands series. One man’s Aurelia is another man’s, um… Claptrap? No, that’s not right. Oh! One man’s servant is another man’s master
I haven’t come up with a build yet that uses both Remnant and Catharsis. Something else for me to explore with the first level cap increase.

But yeah, I love creating character concepts in games. Hell. Skyrim is more fun to theory than to play. World’s most powerful vampire mage, headmistress of the mages college, leader of a cult of badass women, including a werewolf and vampire archer.
All great until there’s not a single place where that big lightning storm spell gets to really destroy things

One way to go full binder is Fist Of Eternity or Eternal Fist and Dread. Imagine just popping locks all over the place. That and Stillness could do some whacky Crowd Control.
But. Imagine if you could get Eternal Fist. Glamour. Ascendant. And Avatar. Boooom

Have you played Diablo III? I have a disdain for most Blizzard games, but that game awakened the theory crafter in me. The only games I’m anticipating as much as BL3 are Diablo IV and Metroid Prime 4.

Stillness of Mind was a careful consideration before I settled on Allure. Too much good, not enough get all the good. Needs more good.

I haven’t played Diablo at all because I assume the game play won’t be fun for me? It’s hard to tell. I barely play games. Borderlands is the first time I’ve pre-ordered in…since I was in middle school. Lol.
Omg. I’m so stuck on which skills and augments and am so glad for swapping
Actually thinking about this, Torgue and Remnant seem like good friends. The sticky mechanic would be awesome for triggering overkill damage especially once we learn enemy health pools well enough to put just a little bit extra on every enemy. I wonder whether Torgue sticky mode projectiles can ricochet or if it that doesn’t make sense?
Theorycrafters have yet to give the new Torgue gimmick much attention, but it has the potential to be one of the more interesting imo. And by interesting I mean “abused in ways that aren’t obvious at first glance”, as is the Borderlands way. Watching the first boss fight with Mouthpiece, I was just imagining layering him with Torgues explosives during his invulnerability phase and blowing him up as soon as he can be damaged again. When God closed a door, I blow it the **** up. No idea if it would work but I sure hope so.

Freaking AMD needs to send me a boot kit to get my new computer running so I can be really stoked on this game

Something you could do in Diablo
It is a very different style, not everybody likes dungeon crawlers. I typically don’t, but Diablo did it right.
I haven’t watched enough gameplay, I’m trying not to spoil myself. I tried to resist skill trees, but that didn’t last long lol.
Nonsense, you just need a PS4

Hahaha, seee. I just said I don’t play enough games. Also, omg, I got the graphics card this game was designed for? So. Like. It’s gonna be soooo damn pretty?!
But no, I told myself a while back that any gaming I’d do had to be PC so i could invest in a good music studio that just happens to play games. (Sure. The graphics card was the cost of a console. But can your console blow things up? Can my computer? If you use them wrong, surely)
