I can’t play with short fuze because the VFX is a major eyesore. Currently playing with non-Shortfuze builds and it is alright. But I still wish that I could have had some way to just turn all that stuff off. The extra yellow laser from her free bullet. And the extra-long animation from her getting in and out of iron bear.
Any chance that Gearbox is working on adding in a VFX intensity setting?
Now, I have a theory, I think that the brightness levels on the vfx is the problem. The weapon and grenade effects are simply so much more bright than anything else in the environment that when they pop up your eyes get suddenly blasted with extra light.
That is all. Go Team Meowz
I’m looking for other opinions on VFX in the game. Do you guys find the bridghtness overpowering sometimes? Would having some options help? And how affected are other vault hunters?
Well call me back when IB have windshield wipers lol

I find pretty much all the explosions, elements, screen shake, shock waves, beams… Etc to all be obnoxious is this game. Always have, kind of surprised they haven’t made a slider for it in the options.
Easily one of my biggest complaints in the game. On top off all that enemy attacks fling you in the air 30 feet. Sometimes I just set my controller down and let Moze bleed out because it’s just too much.
I was just playing TTD earlier today and I bounced around like a beach ball for 15 seconds and couldn’t see a damn thing. Resorting to using the mini-map and red dots as your only way of shooting enemies isn’t fun. Feels like playing Atari.

I’ve always recommended GBX add visual targeting reticles in Iron bear similar to what Fl4k has for Fade Away. Would help us quickly find enemies while piloting IB
But yeah the elemental damage screen cover when you jump into IB under elemental attacks is annoying and I cant believe GBX hasnt fixed after all this time

I’ve been playing a Mindsweeper with a rad Kyb’sWorth and how am supposed to aim for crits when I can’t even see what I’m shooting at. The whole game is those stupid skeleton archer’s from BL2 that blind you. Just like how they overdid using PhysX in BL2 they went overboard with the visuals in 3. Pretty annoying needing the minimap to find enemies to shoot.

A good tip is to use the mark target function, it really helps to shoot with all the explosions in the screen. I only do this with badasses or if I’m at low health so I know who I was shooting.
Sadly this doesn’t work when you’re in Iron Bear.

At least PhysX could be toggled off and adapted in terms of intensity
