I voted ‘fine as is’ because I was finally able to do a true-takedown by myself, but what I really want is a couple little quality of life changes. Namely, it would be nice if Active Tracking missiles were better at locking on and then actually hitting the target. They’re bad at finding partially-obscured targets, and they’re wonky about which targets to select. They don’t default to the thing under the targeting reticle; usually they prefer to target the closest enemy, but sometimes they’ll target a farther away thing. It would also be nice if they could lock-on at longer ranges, as right now they feel like a medium-range-only thing.
It would also be nice if the ‘not enough space’ bubble was reduced a little, because I swear I can pilot Iron Bear places that it won’t let me digistruct him in. I think the safe space was implemented because IB was getting stuck inside walls or whatever shortly after game release, but there must be a happy medium somewhere.
can you add “able to swap weapon (set) without exiting bear”. seriously when i am playing all-bear build. It’s tedious to open my skill tree everytime i jump out of IB just to match the elemental weakness of the enemy specially in wotan battle.
Can’t add to the poll after it started. It’s hard to cover every area of improvement so I kept it to the general aspects of IB. You can vote for the option you like most from the poll then comment to specify what you really want.
I would really like to be able to get back in IB. If you don’t have Auto Bear when you get out he should just stand there and if you do have Auto Bear it does what it does now. Either way having to end IB prematurely to get some Eridium or “melee” something is stupid.
I feel like people still want the I-frames the same length but just being able to move while they’re still invulnerable.
Personally, I don’t so much mind the enter and exit animation rather than having to hold the button for so long to get out. Just make it double tap action skill to get out (or honestly single tap, I’m not going to accidentally exit my mech dammit).
As Kab said, the i-frames need to last longer on exit. Getting smacked the moment your feet touch the ground is insane. Really poorly thought out there, makes me not like using Iron Bear when it would be most optimal to use IB.
Just off the top of my head. Here are some possibilities.
Iron bear launches your equiped grenade every 7 grendades. With grenade launcher. Or when he uses all his ammo twice / Or everheads weapons twice. (Could be possible.)
Iron bear sheilds get moze shield bonuses. So basically bear benefits from shields.
More Annoinments that affect just iron bear. ;
Eg, Iron bear reloads faster after a kill. First shot after getting into iron bear does double damage, Iron bear gets 5% lifesteal annointment. Bear related stuff. Iron bear turret gets auto targeting and gains explosive rounds. Basically lets the turret be useful outside of Co-op and is always firing and reloading. I think iron bear annoinments are also a good way to test out buffs to iron bear. or give iron bear buffs to specific weapons.
At the same time, I need to see what happens in the latest update. Because most of the content in the game right now does not require that much more power. UNless the next mayhem levels are really ■■■■■■■ hard or give us new scenarios with tough enemies that need new strategies, IB is already pretty buff.
But I think annointments just for IB would be nice for IB players.
More than that, i think blast master needs to be looked into. For example, having to not reload to get its effect makes no sense. Imagine if instead it increased explosive damage based off how many enemies you hit at once. Could be +25% damage for every enemy caught in the AOE for moze. And +10% for every enemy caught in AOE for iron bear. Or something. THis not reloading stuff is bs.
It can be a pain, and impractical. But not reloading is very easily achieved with Moze, with magazines as low as 16. Less with multi-pellet weapons.
But, to make it work, it needs to be built for.
Most everything in Borderlands is conditional.
I don’t want to speak for other folks, and this isn’t only directed at you, but I’m sick of seeing calls for things that people just don’t like to be changed. Either a thing works for you or doesn’t. If it doesn’t, move along. It’s in the game. Find something that works for you.
However, things that don’t work, are broken, or are entirely pointless that require fixing or practical quality of life improvements I don’t really mind. Things like Force Feedback, for example, or MoDPS4gate.
I feel there may be others that feel the same.
There’s room for making creative new ideas for cool new stuff. There doesn’t need to be a cool new thread for every single one, either.

Honestly it is a bit of a long post. And I would not have written it outside of quarantine. Lol. But I think it conveys some of my current thoughts on Moze COMS. I could be wrong though.
My disconnect with Moze and IB is that, you collect all this nice gear for Moze, but if you’re spending a lot of time in Iron Bear, you’re not really using it outside of those particular anointed grenade mods, and a couple shields that happen to extend their effects to IB (Ember’s Blaze*, and I think Red Suit as well.) Which leads to…
I’m 100% for this.
And perhaps some way IB could utilize the weapon Moze was holding when she summoned IB. An “omni-gun” augment for IB that has IB digistruct a version of Moze’s current weapon, or at least a mount that fires the type of rounds of that weapon, instead of miniguns, railguns, etc? Dakka Bear’s turret could perhaps do that? Just some way to make more use of the gear you’ve painstakingly collected. Maybe a “Sponsored by…” augment where IB’s miniguns take on the special manufacturer’s effect of the gun you’re holding (Jakobs crit ricochet, Tediore reload chucks, Maliwan bonus elemental damage, etc.)
(*Ember’s Blaze has become one of my go-to shields for Moze. It’s handy for melting baddies who are trying to give Iron Bear a hug while I concentrate my fire on more distant targets. Iron Bear’s version of Wotan’s death field, heh )
Faster one press exit. The animation isn’t my problem. And the I-frames on exit are definitely needed. Along with removal of that delay in firing on exit.
Basically have IB do enough damage and have survivability in the the higher MH levels. My Moze has basically become a Mule since you simply do not last in IB at the higher levels. I am not into grenade/tediore chucking, or Deathless type builds. Moze is a mech soldier and I want to play her that way
I have said it before but in my opinion gear scaling can solve like 50~80% of IB problems. Seems like that BL3 dev team is not the same as the previous BL as we had Krieg in BL2 that is basically a well designed IB. I dont even know what to think by now

I think at this point they should consider adding gear for Iron Bear (and Flak’s pets ), which Moze will be able to farm along with other gear. I don’t like the idea of GBX arbitrarily picking some multiplier to scale Iron Bear to higher Mayhem levels (if that is possible). Iron Bear gear could help the scaling issue and also be used to customize Iron Bear (for instance, gear which gives more heat reduction on miniguns, faster reload on railguns, etc).
