If I want to tickle my enemies to death before ultimately running out of ammunition on anyone but Salvador than yes, I will use the poor man’s S&S. Since I like killing enemies in half a dozen bullets at the most, I will stick with Jakobs.
My UVHM bandit Maya and Krieg are both thriving, thank you. And bandits may not be able to spell, but they have at least mastered the art of automatic firing mechanisms.
I wasn’t really hopefully that it would work but is seems that I might be able to make something happen.
Eventually you may find that almost anything can work.
What don’t you like about it?
It threatens his beard
Really, thought you were more of a maliwan fan boy! /s
Joke aside, I feel that Jakobs take a bit more skill to run great but as soon as you get that down it is some of the most fun I’ve had!
I felt a great disturbance in the force, as if a million Vladof lovers snickered to themselves at the thought of Bandit “mastering” fully automatic.
On a more serious note I long ago gave up ALMOST all non-Jakobs (I say almost as I use the Grog Nozzle on Salvador) firearms and have not found the appeal in fully automatic weaponry for the longest time. It is a personal preference of mine (obviously) and just the way I am anymore. Nothing personal.
Yeah, it is, and one of my personal best moments is running through Sawtooth Cauldron at normal UVHM with nothing but an Unforgiven and Magic Missiles for damage on Maya.
Vladof guns demand so many bullets you have to reload every half second. They had to invent their own shield so their puny proletariat troops could scrounge as much ammunition as possible, and even tried making a gun that doesn’t need reloading in a desperate attempt to save face.
Bandits know about life on the edge. They know you can tell a lot about a man by the size of his magazine. They know in that in the real icy wastelands your fingers can be far too cold to reload. When you’re outmatched in combat by the fascists, vault hunters, or fellow bandits, you don’t turn tail and run away. They take your shield, you throw your broken gun away, charge forward, and punch them so hard they explode. That is the true Pandora.

I think it has been successfully proved that Bandits have the lyrical eloquence to perform literature’s most sublime passages.
I would have found and shot that bandit by the ten second mark.
Typical southern philistine. Jakobs. Pshaw.
I’m not a southerner and I think that is enough derailing on my part.
Back on topic instead of a Rough Rider @redhitops I recommend the Blockade shield since Maya’s shield recharge capabilities can negate its faults and it makes her rather sturdy as well. Failing that an adaptive or turtle shield.
@Troubled I was talking about Jakobs’ brand image.
I guess OP wanted to be as loyal as possible, but if not I find the Antagonist to be a really strong shield with Maya - and it helps slag things too.
yeah i use the Blockade for my twisted pimp. I was considering using it here too.
Alright, I think im gonna go try and run this build now!
After i think i might run a Hammerlock weapon run and maybe a scarlett build too.
Will report back on how it goes.
I’m not really a loyal person, As long as i can use the 4 elemental guns, ill take whatever other gear that will make it work. It’s gonna be hard enough as it is.
I usually carry a Bee, Antagonist, Evolution and Big Boom Blaster with my highest Maya - they all serve her well. BBB probably isn’t useful given your lack of a rocket launcher and potential favouring of Magic Missiles (I’m a Fastball girl).
I have not liked the shield since I climbed the OP levels. In regular UVHM I liked it when it would occasionally slag but it is not uncommon for me to see 3-4 orbs hitting the same target and not turn it purple. Meanwhile if I stand by chest high cover and get struck across the face by an especially raunchy fart the orb will detonate upon impacting the cover I am behind and slagging me as a result.
I found the Blockade to be better due to lacking such a risk and also still being useful against melee oriented enemies.
Good luck.
You’re the boss here.
