IMO event items should work like the Contraband Sky Rocket from BL2 and scale with the player level.
not a sniper but kinda does the same thing (except explosion is slower)
the clairvoiance AR…
nothing beats the WI though haha man i miss that gun (ok it’s still pretty viable for me but there’s so many items that do more damage because of the levelgap)
Why is that? In BL3, explosive weapons crit just like any other weapon
Is that always the case? Also, doesn’t it depend on the initial projectile versus splash damage? I didn’t think the splash portion would crit unless the player character has a skill that adds crit to splash?
Iirc that’s only true for grenades and melee damage.
Well, indirect hits from splash damage can’t crit, but the projectile itself does.
It’s different to BL2 which completely separated projectile and explosion, where e.g. hitting an enemy with a Torgue gun caused 2 hits, one projectile and one splash – and only the former would do critical damage.
BL3 is different, it doesn’t separate them anymore. A direct hit on an enemy works just like any regular projectile, it’s one hit that does the same critical damage as anything else. But yes, only a direct hit can crit, not splash damage without a direct hit.
No I loved the terror anointment combo of terrifying yourself and having the other piece of gear give you ammo regen the more terrified you were the better ammo regen especially on my amara I would barely reload lol
So you are okay with under-leveled gear then? SMH
Honestly the dev need to add these event stuff back into loot pool at some point. Not only is late purchasers missing content but also no one has enough time to constantly go for events. When the support of this game is over those event files will just be blocked off and bloat the game.
I wouldn’t even mind if they make them into head hunter packs with abit more stuff added. Happy to support devs with this.
You are clearly missing the point of these timed event items.
Borderlands 3 has no microtransactions.
Instead it has one big Season Pass which makes the game Pay to Win.
Timed events with exclusive items makes the Season Pass necessary.
It’s all about the dollars.
None of the special events are included in or require the season pass. The Wedding Invitation did not require the season pass or any DLC in order to obtain it; it was a reward in a FREE event open to anyone who has a copy of the game.
Im really confused on how season pass is related to event consider you get events anyway without it and season passes simply give you dlcs???
Sometimes I wish there was a simple dislike/“thumbs down” button on this forum - to deal with cases where post is not offensive per se and does not break any forum rules (which is what flags are for), but yet is disconnected from reality on a spectacular level…
well it’s not like it’s hard to get, so what makes it special? I guess it’s a little less applicable now but it is a little unfair for people who e.g. just happen to be travelling that week. It’s bad enough they have to miss an event but to miss out on special gear just for an accident of timing seems a bit harsh
That’s why trading exists… If that happens, how is it GBX’s fault? Should they have known you’re not gonna be in town for the event? Should they ask every player what their schedules are like?
I missed tons of things in BL2… Never got the Grog Nozzle other than as a quest item and not finishing that quest… Plus, I don’t miss the terror gear at all. It was fun, but I can deal with not having it around all the time.
well, no, I’m not casting blame, just saying I think it’s a little unfair to timelock weapons, that’s all. I don’t really see the point, either, because if the Wedding Invitation is anything to go by it doesn’t require a lot of skill to get.
And as an aside, I don’t think it really makes sense to give us a timelocked weapon and then reduce its viability just a few weeks later by raising the level cap.
I don’t want to make a massive deal of it, though. Just saying I’d rather they didn’t timelock weapons as I don’t really see the point
The fact you can’t get it anymore.
It’s not unfair or harsh at all. Is it unfair that people who but the super deluxe edition get stuff that others don’t?
I don’t think that had anything to do with it. Once it becomes obsolete I don’t use it anymore. Or if I really like it I still use it. Please don’t attribute things to me I never said.
I’m guessing you mean’t buy! Isn’t that a little different? They paid for the extra stuff, didn’t they?
Happy to disagree. I just don’t really see the point, that’s all.
I did mean buy. And your could choose to play during that event or not. It’s up to you.
