No one has data. But I did have a slow night one time. After that itās been fine so far. Iāve even seen a lot of new players.

I kind of feel the same, it seems all the new players from the humble bundle are starting to leave and I canāt blame them with the bad matchmaking. Still, like @epicender584 said no one has data so unless there is an overwhelming amount of players with the same problem, you canāt really know.
The humble bundle is PC only. The summer sale presumably did help but we donāt know.

Iāve noted thereās a level gap. Iām on PS4, and I feel like CR 30-70 is kind of sparsely populated. This is entirely anecdotal, of course, but by now almost all the loyal Battlebornāers who have been here from the early days are CR 70-100, even those ones who really like the game but seldom get to play because of busy schedules.
We have a lot of lower level, newer players, but it seems like they fall off at a certain point. Iād have to place that point at CR 20-30, I suppose. I donāt know if the game is retaining new players well right now. It seems entirely plausible to me that is due to the experience gap; the newbies are getting smashed by more experienced players and not enjoying it.

It could be that players are just staying away from PvP

Honestly I cant deal with this anymore, if you gotta wait 20minutes for a game and people are constantly disconnecting and then you end up in a game with A RED BAR its not fun. I have this 20% of the games and this is worst, playing as phoebe I CANT ACTUALLY HIT A MOVING TARGET, this is so frustrating, i cant even kill minions. Then I start playing rocket league and I have 22ping. Can gearbox stop putting me with people from like australia or something? ill rather not play than be in a game for half an hour where I cant do anything. One of these times im seriously gonna throw away this game because of that.

I swayed towards PVE during the double xp week to try out chars and was matched with different peoples,
with a complete rank variation, all the time.
Return to PVP the other night proved endless matchmaking times - only to find mostly rank 100ās.
That is, to me, a noticable diff compared with, say, 1 month ago.

No need for that exaggeration. If you literally wait 20 minutes for a match, and red bar the whole time, you need to move to a place with better internet, or stop playing. No amount of matchmaking changes will fix ā ā ā ā ā ā internet connections.

Thats how Iong I waited today and as I said only 20% of the games are like this NOT all of them. I am sorry but what the hell can you not understand from what I have just said? its not my internetās fault I have no problems playing other games online its the matchmaking that puts you with servers that are god knows how far from the UK. im not living in the pakistan with internet speed 125kb/s.

From my experiences, no. Waiting times are still long and finding a full game yes, but I find different people easily. Not really seeing the same people constantly.

I have horrible waiting times 80% of all my matches. There were no problem when I had just bought it, now howeverā¦ lucky if under 15min.
However, when Iām finally pared with a team, the next match (thatās, of course, if people donāt ādisconnectsā) is joined almost instantly.
Why?

I was actually able to get multiple Meltdown and Capture matches this afternoon on PS4 Western Canada today!

Those of us in Australia play with red bar a majority of the time.
Count yourself lucky this is a rarity for you.
Thereās a thread on these boards with 500+ posts about server issues in Aus/NZ with no answers so please, if you do get matched with some Australians who are experiencing green bar for the first time that week, let them have their moment.
and you could be stuck with satellite internet like me, woth consistantly high ping no matter what.

Meh. I havenāt really noticed anything unusual about MM times. Clearly peaktime is the best in my area anyway. 6-11pm Eastern Time. (GMT -5)
I really like this game and would love to see better MM times, and a more reliable chance at getting a 5 man team for PvE
The last three days for me have been pretty slow running into a few of the same people I always run into (Say_Bacon, Neji, Arch CJ, etc.) I dunno if itās just a decline or the matchmaking ELOās been changed again
