gaaah, that was the entire thing I wanted with it. i was gonna make a fire and ice build to freeze enemies dangit from what cailte was saying about the hex I was gonna switch out for a cryo hex for 5000 efficiency…
I’m crying on the inside right now.

Well. Here’s an idea. Cryo Hex and a Fire Hyperfocus or fire Kaosin with the anointment. It’ll be pretty cool.
See. With a single point in skag den. You can create a really harsh fire dot with a cryo hex.
would that create cryo novas or just really burn them while they’re all slowed down?
its not what i want buuut I’ll try it at least once.

Really burn them while they’re slowed down.
I’m currently using a shocker, a shock hex, and a Fire Hyperfocus. It’s a lot of micro management, but watching an enemy blow up under the weight of something as stupid as a hyperfocus is amazing.
i imagine that has to do with the dot and detonate thing you were talking about earlier so how does it work, do I just hold the gun and use the grenade; or do I shoot first then toss grenade?

Okay. So.
I cannot stress enough that you need at least one point in Fire in the Skag Den. And a Fire gun with this anointment.
So you throw the cryo hex. If you have a shock weapon, strip any shields. Once the hex is on flesh. Wait for a fire dot to hit. You’ll know cause the enemy will have ticks of like, 10k fire damage. Now crit them with the fire weapon. The explosion from the Detonation should start at,…
10 x 3 is 30
30 x 5 is 150. So before any additional bonuses. That’s a free 150k damage you didn’t have before. If your fire rate is good, you can probably get a few of these really quickly.
wow that’s interesting. and that’s just fire in the skag den and the anoint, its not about short fuse or anything?

Correct. Fire in the Skag Den creates a fully functional fire dot out of any splash damage. The cryo hex just happens to translate to a bonker balls number because it’s efficiency has an equivalent dot.
The Shocker I’m proud of? Creates a fire dot about 3 times as strong the same way. I just don’t ever suggest anyone play like me. It’s bad for your sanity
F that anointment, get the radiation 150% dmg one instead. Add that to Bloodletter. OPQ drops that annoint frequently, and it tears through everything, literally. Even post drone fix. I actually try not to use so it doesn’t become a crutch.

This is a fun anointment that allows us to play with a whole new mechanic that brings us the option to play with multiple items to craft a nifty synergy loop. I’m glad you enjoy uRad, but there’s no need to come in here and say “f that anointment” lol.
It was more of a jest than anything else. But not all jokes can be winners.

Sorry. The forum is a mess these days and sometimes people really throw out the nifty stuff in favor of The Most Damage and I’m just always ready to defend the weird stuff
I think I missed some new terms here. Can you elaborate on what your “detonator” and “prime dot” mean?
Wait, is this what you are talking about?
Ok this looks very… intricate to apply properly.
Also, I am using only kinetic stuff atm, I should farm fire weapons.

There’s a couple threads around the forum about it and I keep insisting on using the Terms prime and detonate, hoping if I keep it up, we’ll be able to keep the discussions around it a little more focused.
I borrowed the terms from Anthem’s Prime and Detonate mechanics, where Priming is giving an enemy a status affect, and detonating is using different skill to ignite that status effect for a combo.
You Prime a target with a DoT.
You Detonate with a crit. A detonation can only occur if the bullet is the same element as the Prime.
It’s a very in depth thing if you’re not just trying to find a single gun to use it.
A single gun that excels with it is Hellfire. Because the dot on Hellfire is stronger than the bullet, a steady stream of Hellfire crits is now stronger with this anointment.
Ok, it is clearer now.
I guess that for us it’s easy to apply with fire because of the Hex+FitSD interaction, but I reckon it might work with any element?
Shame that we can’t passively apply other elements to our shots like infusion Amara.

Yup…with Moze, priming is easy (omg. Seriously. Tonight I’m gonna record a video of Shocker), but getting the Detonation is the hard part. Like. GM and Skag Den give me a fire and Corrosive dot on any splash damage in do…but the best splash based dots come from shock weapons. And using a fire hunter seeker instead of a shock hex means the Shock dot goes unloved.
I love it

Keep in mind the fire skills can only prime, not detonate. A hex will only do the element listed.
Yes, I got this much. I guess that corrosive dots from GM and fire ones from FitSD are just to “coat” (prime, forgive me samm, I swear I will start using them) the target that needs to be ignited afterwards (detonate, :*).
This I don’t get, sorry.

If you are holding a gun with the 500% Nova anointment and toss a hex. The hex will apply the Dot and when it crits will produce the Nova. PtHP further increases the likely hood of a crit Nova.
