Is there a beginners guide to extracting model files?

I’m having a hard time finding material that basically holds my hand through the BIG to HOD to DAE process.
I’m a rank novice and have no idea where to begin.
I have downloaded GBX tools and Bigdecrypter, but drawing a blank on how to get started.

Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

There is no gearbox tool for extracting models from HODs, only for importing.

Subscribe to the ‘Examples’ in Workshop - tons of well-formed DAEs (5 ships, a planet + some backgrounds).

So there is no way to view the models in Blender, as other posts have indicated?

Eh - none that we support if you’re talking about ‘retail’ HODs, no. All that we have released are the 5 example ships.

Ok, that’s cool. Either way, I’ve subbed the Example 1 Workshop and I’m still stumped :blush: .
Anyways, I found the DAE file from the Workshop. I’ll have a play and see what I can do. Thanks for your replies :smile:.
