I guess I was a bit surprised at how first part of your post that felt quite positive ended up with conclusion to shelve BL3 for the time being. I’m not you. obviously, but it sounded like you had two decent VH options to play and somehow the third one of “none of the above” won in the end.

Just curiosity on my part, really.

Loading times on console are just horrendous also. It just kills my vibe so hard to sit about 5 times longer than it takes me to kill a boss just waiting for a game to load.

It is why even with the event I can’t even be bothered anymore. I kill the bosses so fast that I spend way, way too much time doing nothing.

The global point you post unintentionally makes is that there should be no exclusive items. I think dedicated is good but don’t think things like sand hawk should only drop from the most boring and frustrating boss in the game.

I agree with this but i suspect I am in the minority. I would much rather farm the slaughter shaft or well really anywhere other than killing the same boss over and over.

I’d like to say a hard ‘no’ on raid bosses unless they are heavily, heavily tested first. No Master Gee this time.

Lol master g was painful for sure.

To be fair I think bl3 Wotan and Scourge are much better done than bl2 raid bosses, regardless of health bar problems, they are designed so a solo player can with proper methods fight and defeat them. In bl2 they were not solo friendly at all and you had to resort to dirty tricks or use money shot bee

Oh yeah. If a dev sees this, the raids have some good bosses. They feel engaging and interesting rather than feeling designed to hurt slam you around until you die like vermi did, for example

Master Gee was the worst boss in the game. The mechanism was opaque trying to understand it the first time out. It was tedious as hell and fortunately the rewards sucked so I never had to go back - as opposed to Katagawa Jr who 8s tHe second worst fight but hides a quality drop.

How is Katagawa Jr bad? You can one shot him when you drop down then wait for death animation. Am I missing something here?

I’m just looking forward to katagawa the invincible

Nah Traunt the invincible.

Yes, because everyone can just one shot him…it also doesn’t mask the fact that the design of the encounter was lousy.

Not sure on your build or character but my go to bossing character right now is IB moze. I can 1 shot him with the rail guns almost every time

My problem is less the build than literally being able to hit him with one shot in time. Not sure if it is just a “I suck” problem or a console responsiveness and precision issue my one shot kill rate is like 20%.

Sorry to gear that.
I tend to use a Plaguebearer when fighting jr so I don’t need to aim. Charge the shot at the right time on the fall and its out when you land. Hits jr in the face almost every time.

1 - Agreed. The bloated health modifiers on higher mayhem levels is too much of a slog already, adding gimmicky modifiers that can make your life even more miserable should be optional. And if it can’t be, we should be able to choose them, the difference between that and spending several minutes rolling for a prefered one is: several minutes, only to achieve the same thing.

2 - Don’t know about on higher mayhem levels, as I won’t play them until a level cap is finally set, but the patch from the 30/07 gave us several buffs to the older legendaries, which I can now pull some of them out of the bank and enjoy them.

3 - Don’t agree. Randomness is king in the Borderlands franchise, but you never know. Gear scalling was introduced with Mayhem 2.0 to the dismay of several people, including myself.

4 - I suppose seasonal events will become integral to game in a near future, similar to the Headhunter packs on BL2

5 - Indeed. I swear at my TV every time I see a Malak’s Bane on the floor instead of something more interesting, like a white rarity pea-shooter.

6 - Some of the legendaries in the game are more legendary than others, both in usability and how hard is to get them, they probably just need sorting as such.

7 - We already had 2, the Halloween one and the Eridium Cartels. I’m not counting the Valentine’s one as it doesn’t have a set map location.

8 - We only had 2. The idea of having raid bosses with far bigger raid sections than boss sections hasn’t paid off, in my opinion. Too much time mowing through mobs than unique, ‘Invincible’, powerfull titans.

Which VH are you using?
With FL4K I just use the Kaoson on him. Any elemental weapon at least helps keep track of which one he is.
I discovered Zane’s Drone will always target the real K Jr. Makes very short work of him as well.
Even if you can’t one shot him, there are ways to make the fight quick.

I hate them also and stop playing I keep saying that modifiers ruin the game by just giving players no choices . If you don’t want to play with modifiers then you have to play on baby mode and get the least of anything in the game . All I ask is the ability to turn off modifiers without being penalized for not wanting to play them .
