Do you have a Computer? Chances are, if you do, the monitor is HDMI - you can hook it up to that, or if it’s nit, there are DVI to HDMI adapters. Try one of those.
My cousin plays his PS4 on his Laptop, by plugging it in a side HDMI port.

I wouldn’t go to Best Buy.
Craig’s list or even pawn shops if you’re hard up for a tv.
Check for local hotels who are updating their interiors. They have to be up to code for appliances and will replace all their tvs, even after a few years.
Well that’s unfortunate, sorry to read that you have found yourself in such a disheartening situation…
I believe the universe works in mysterious ways…
Hopefully the desire you have to play Battleborn, will bring about the changes you need to get that TV…
Whether it’s that new job you seek, a sale/bargain on a TV, or even a new housemate with a better TV, haha…
I hope you recieve the happiness you seek in playing Battleborn again, asap!
Goodwill.
Get yourself a crappy tube-TV for 20 bucks as a temporary tv
you could always try finding a cheap vita for a temp fix, dread to think what its like playing battleborn on a screen that size though.
Wait. Battle born is on vita?
You can play PS4 games on the Vita
nah, remote play that shizzle, it would take some getting used to, but i use it to grind stuff whilst watching tv for all sorts of games that have easyish gameplay, something harder like say dark souls…don’t even go there
Oh oh oh.
Worth a shot.
Do I have to play…ON the vita or how the heck does that work.
Hopefully I don’t need to set it up through a TV first. Gotta charge my vita then I’ll try it.
Ah shoot, i think you will struggle without having a screen to do the inital setup
Crap if that’s the case I’ll ask if I can hook the TV up again one last time to do thatm. Roommate hasn’t actually moved out yet.
Good luck!
And yeah once its setup right, you wont need the big screen at all, vita will even turn ps4 on for you etc.
Apparently I had already synched my vita to the ps4 before so it did it automatically without needing a tv.
Can’t broadcast or use spotify but otherwise this seems to be a lifesaver.
Thanks guys! Don’t know if I can play online but still awesome.
Online should not be a problem, getting use to the rear touch pad as R2/L2 took me some time tho.
And you also now have a use for your vita
I’m also laughing because I chose to buy digimon on ps4 instead of vita and now I’m playing it on viat anyway
Mad I can’t broadcast it though, I had been streaming the games I play. Oh well. Can still record 15 minutes of gameplay left and then splice em together into vid I guess.
Was expecting more input delay but this isn’t bad at all.
Its pretty intensive on the network i think, needs to be to eliminate lag in both directions.
I had forgotten about this, but you can also stream thru a pc, plug in the ps4 controller via usb, so if you have a pc/laptop, maybe a better option. Not done it myself, but maybe worth a try.
What would be great is if you could throw the signal to an ipad and use the ps4+controller as normal…
Unfortunately I don’t have a computer or iPad.
As I said I’m job hunting because I got laid off my last one. So can’t afford any of that ATM.
I just played a round of doa5 online lol. Only lost because l2 and r2 are the top corners of the front touch screen for some reason and I cant find a way to change it to the back touch screen
What @elle_tee said, law of attraction mate! Tell the universe I need a TV to play BB and expect it. You’ll be surprised how a TV, through synchronization will land in your lap
Till then keep rocking that vita Battleborn and good luck!
One stopgap if you’re not picky. You could look for an older, smaller sized monitor with a DVI input. Then get a HDMI to DVI converter. The whole thing probably won’t cost more than fifty bucks if you get lucky. It’d be a small screen, so you’d have to sit closer to the screen than you’re used to, but it’d still work as a temporary stopgap measure if you’re desperate.
Edit: Sorry if it’s weird that I’m talking in American money. My life partner is actually from America, soon to be in the UK as a UK citizen, so I’m just used to talking in American money lately about prices for things like flights, visas, and what have you.
The ipad thing isn’t actually a thing, sorry i didn’t phrase it well, was meaning to say i would think it would be cool if it was possible to stream to an ipad as a screen.
