It’s pretty good. It encourages a kindof balanced damage and heal build. I’d say it’s best used with vampyr for the full effect.

If you get 5/3 fuel (Deadlines) in there, the first few kills fill up pretty large chunks of the fuel gauge. I would say that if you like using auto bear, this mod allows you to get a few kills before jumping out without losing too much cooldown time

Guardian rank bugs… I am noticing my Iron Bear takes longer than before to cooldown. Is Topped Off not working?

I was also thinking of making this exact thread when the Update hit. There are just SOOOOO many good things that happened all over and I can’t even fathom the work or the creative ideas it took to make all of this possible. This is a very bright future for BL3 with all of this goodness happening. Sort of how like The Mandalarian is a shining beacon of hope for Star Wars fans.

Is it better than the old bear trooper mod? A flat 50% fuel use reduction on that one made IB last so long I got bored haha

I was using that too. Problem is that it synergizes with nothing else. The new mod has some good points. Also, I’d argue that the Deadlines bonus ends up worth more, considering that taking damage increases damage and killing things slows fuel drain along with returning fuel.

When mobbing, im finally able to simply play around in him till I’m tired or my shields are full again. It feels like a real Ironbear build :stuck_out_tongue:

Pretty sure it’s not. None of the guardian ranks are since last patch.

Before my IB cooldown was 37 seconds . Now its 1:40 or so

Yeah topped off not working hurts Moze more than anyone else.

Thanks man. How about the damage buff as you take damage? I know it’s hard to tell but is it based in missing IB health (kind if like mozes desperate Measures) or is it just how much damage you’ve taken regardless of how full your health bar is?

Is it a significant damage buff ?

Hm

I think you’d have to test it. I’ve only used it with vanquisher rockets. Those rockets eat up trash mobs fast now, so it’s hard to tell. I have been farming, and haven’t done a full-on m4 Ironbear burst dmg build after getting it.

Not sure if you’re aware, but if you get all the dmg buff for ib in all trees, and use the hell on rails augment in shield of ret, you can crit red health for 155k or so in m4. You have to have matching hardpoints and all that. I did a full IB play in lectra city yesterday with my left hand as Capacitive and right as that fire buff…and… and it was awesome.

Am I using the rail guns wrong somehow ?? I do have all damage buffs (which are all mostly in green tree) and the rail guns seem so weak regardless of what I do.

I guess I can always aim for crits with them. I’ll try them again

Also what’s a hard point? Dobt even know what that means in scorching rpms skill

Def need to crit. If you’re on console, that means you have to be very careful. It can literally knock anointed to the ground.

Low health enemies can be super hurt by it. Once guardian rank work again, you’ll be able to build momentum to one shot anointed by blowing away red health trash mobs and then using the Overkill perk to shoot their heads. It’s also a strategy for momentum building with the Amara Monacle sniper build. (Shoot an enemy with 10k health for 130k dmg, then the other 120k is added to the next shot. It has a cap I think, but I’ve done 500k dmg to anointed in one round on Amara, so I’m hoping it works on IB hardpoints)

The elbows in Ironbear. It’s the way the devs have referred to ā€œany equipped gun on IBā€

Make sure you element match with the railguns, their elemental damage is one of their strongest properties.

Also, Auto Bear can fire the railguns faster than you can if you like using him.

Wow ok. I’ve extensively tested IB as I’ve been an IB fan evev when people have written it off prior to the patch. The rocket pods were so far and away the best weapons I guess I never tried the rail guns enough.

I’ll give them a try now man and focus on element matching and well as crits

Ummm… why did GBX not just say Iron bear damage instead of hard point damage?

Idk honestly. This came up in another thread too. It could be that they mean something different in the calculation. Like, iron bear damage vs hard point are a different points in the calculation flow or something.
