I have put a ton of time and hard work into this beta and i strongly believe we should keep our rank, considering how you guys didn’t really put a limit on the rank and that I’m also rank 36 and have almost got the master of oscar mike challenge completed. please reply. Btw if i lose my rank i will probably end up not buying the game because i will probably lose interest.

Liar. You’ll buy it.
But yeah it would be nice if we keep rank and character levels. Definitely still buying the game if we don’t though.

You’re not going to be able to keep your rank.

Heh. I’ve seen this question a lot. Here’s the official information on the beta.
@JoeKGBX: this information should be stickied somewhere so we can direct threads like these to it. Thanks.
[Edit]: The reason Joe stated was to make sure everybody started on an even playing field when the game dropped. If it weren’t for PvP, we probably would be able to keep our ranks from the beta. But since not everybody who’s going to buy the game is playing in the beta, GBX doesn’t want anybody to have an unfair advantage. I’m going to be playing PvE mostly so I’m not overly worried about it.
It takes about 2-3 days to reach a high rank with a crapton of cool high rarity gear.
Losing progress that took less than a week to gain is nothing. Character are easy to unlock, challenges seem easy to accomplish for each character just by PLAYING the character.
It would be another story if you’re losing weeks/months of progress. Before the Beta started it was stated that progress wouldn’t carry over…

It should probably be noted on the main screen in game, since not everyone is on the forums.
If someone isn’t willing to redo a few days of play I don’t see how it would have maintained their interest anyway.
For anyone concerned about it, play enough to make a purchase decision, then stop. That simple.

Also, a lot of the characters that are unlocked by high command rank are also unlocked by completing certain story missions, so more than likely, you will be getting your favorite characters faster when the game comes out than when you unlocked them in the beta, since you will have access to the entire story line, not just 2 missions.
Happy to not keep any ranks, info, etc…
It’s like test driving a new car from the dealership, sure it has that new car smell, and you have gotten a feel for the wheel…
But do I want to take that one home? Nope!
I still want the brand new never been driven one when I hand over my money, haha!
