King Mong - Badaboom and Flame o t Firehawk questions

Aah yes I suppose it will take a lot of time!.. And considering all this time he’s only dropped ONE legendary at all!!.. :stuck_out_tongue:

Another question? What do you guys reckon is the best way to spend Eridium?? (Have bought all ammo-upgrades etc). Slot-machines in Flamerock Refuge? Butt Stallion? Something else?

Farming a perfect 94% sham is a pain, I got a really crappy 74% one from Pete earlier today. Thats Borderlands I suppose.

As for the eridium I usually end up throwing it at Butt Stallion just because I like collecting the Gemstone purple weapons. They’re really pretty guns and now that the Snider actually gets the Aquamarine skin, its even more of an incentive to spend eridium at her to get a nice skin for my favorite non-red text gun in the game.

These are pretty good options for burning through eridium. You could also throw it at the summoning altars in the Hammerlock DLC.

To Spawn Dexidious? I’m more interested in a chance to drop a legendary, pearl or Seraph Crystals. And I don’t know if I’ll manage to kill deciduous with Hellborn

What are Gemstone Purple weapons?

Ooooo. Time to start farming Butt Stallion then. Slap her on the badonkadonk - duh! (actually they’re a bit like luneshine bonuses - small increases in damage or whatever - the skin is different)

They are purple weapons that Butt Stallion drops with unique skins based on gemstones. They all have a 8% critical hit bonus IIRC and are generally superior to their purple non gemstone counterparts.

what others have said, Plus Raid Bosses.

The default drop for the Bada is explosive, because it’s Torgue. After that you have to hope RNG roles an element on it and the nicey nicey parts. It’s no different to getting an Infinity pistol with an element, and from billion hours of farming King Mong and all other bosses in the game, the explosive Bada is gonna drop a whole lot more than the elemental ones.

@vgj - Your gonna need a lot of time and a massive portion of luck to get good elemental Badaboom’s. Fingers crossed for you, and getting the element you want, LOTS of fingers crossed for you

Badaboom is Bandit; if it were Torgue it couldn’t be anything but explosive.

Yep - keep going with the Badaboom. It’s the only launcher I use. Other launchers just irritate me and sit unused in my inventory.

It’s a really great gun. Another quality bandit armament!

Speaking of spending Eridium, I may be weird, but I kinda like the Dex fight. Change of pace from the more confined arenas of the other raid bosses, and it’s satisfying to pop his crit spots with a Bitch or Lady Fist.

Yeah he’s kind of a pain to spawn, and he doesn’t drop Seraph crystals, but I still like fighting him.

You are weird :stuck_out_tongue: I like that he exists, and I think spawning him is cool (and yeah raiding in the open is awesome), I just find the fight itself pretty boring and long. That dude has so much health. I feel the same way about doing Vermi solo. Giving any boss a huge health pool does make it more of a challenge but not in a very creative way. (I’m not particularly keen on - or good at - soloing any of the raids though).

Sorry for the nitpickery, but Heads/Skins count as one item each with different variants for each class. King Mong for example has the Badaboom and a Skin. If the Skins were separate, they’d outweigh the Badaboom 6 to 1, clearly that’s not happening. It’s not all bad!
(But still an awful system. Thank goodness TPS did that better).

Ohhhhh yeah, you’re right… I brainfarted there.

Okay so regarding the Bunker, I got the Sham yesterday I think it was, although a 79%, but that’s enough for me…
I’ve given King Mong a slight break, I tend to swap between tasks a bit, perhaps for the variation of it…
But back to Hyperius… So now I just tried to kill him. Every time I manage to take out his minions, swap to FOTF shield, make sure it’s 100% charged, but when he depletes my shield with his annoying novas the FOTF novas won’t start, making healing a problem!..

You’re playing Krieg, right? I suggest asking in here:

https://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/c/borderlands-2/krieg-the-psycho

It sounds like you’ve got some odd build/BAR/gear thing going on, but the Krieg experts should be able to help sort things out. (Well, either that or suggest and alternative strategy to get you through the fight.)

Yeah I can dress the problem there, thanx  Altho I expect the’ll recommend which kinda takes the fun away since I’m playing Hellborn. But I’m starting to think, what ever it takes to kill this ■■■■■■■ haha
