I have played every mission on story mode and have gotten silvers on each and I still haven’t gotten Kleese.
Am I doing something wrong ?
It all has to be on one setting (so you need to do The Renegade, The Archive, The Saboteur, and The Heliophage on normal).
I’m not sure if getting silver on advanced would unlock Kleese AS WELL AS Ghalt though.
Wow that’s going to be annoying. I wish they didn’t make it like that.
To unlock Kleese, you have to beat all the story missions on Normal getting Silver or higher.
To unlock Ghalt, you need to complete all the story missions on Advanced getting Silver or higher.
Which is kind of irritating since one of Kleese’ lore is to play him on every map in the game… if you bothered to get silver or higher in every map already that means you have to rehash every mission just to finish his lore. lol

Yep. -_- The bright side is you just have to play on them, nothing about winning or being successful.
Yeah but the dialog and such changes depending on the characters you get. Also the story missions yield the most command and character experience, money and of course this is where you get new items!
I do think it’s silly you have to get silver on all normal though. I ran into the same issue as OP.
and that is easy if you like to play the game like I do
Not saying it won’t be fun, I’m saying most of us have certain missions we’d rather not do and you then have to if you want it all. This ties into arguments about the way lore is different between characters but whatever.
ive completed all story missions with silver or gold rating and still nothing it also doesnt show the locked characters in the character command screen as in the lock and requirements to unlock are no longer present but I cant use them in battle. and kleese should be unlocked but isn’t.

if you want to unlock Kleese, get silver in all ‘normal’ episode
you can’t unlock Ghalt and Kleese in same time
Can you get silver on hardcore mode or that still doesn’t count for Kleese?
AFAIK, hardcore doesn’t matter, as long as it is normal, but not 100% sure.
I just completed all the mission on advanced and all if which are silver or gold which means I should have kleese and ghalt unlocked but I don’t I think this should be in the next update fixing that by either giving it to players who have done so or by making you do one more on advanced and active silver so that it registers.
