I play as Krieg, it was my first character to get to op8, and I have a lot of fun with him… I don’t really use his melee skill that much and I have more of a damage build. Between his skills and my shield, I really don’t have to shoot very often and I kill enemies… although it is nice to have a siren around for the occasional res

Krieg is the best class in the game, in my opinion. He’s not good at dying.

He is a bit of a high-level class. If you want to run melee, get the Law pistol and Order shield asap. Good melee gear that will keep him alive until you get better survival skills.

As first character I couldn’t tell you, lmao. I’d been playing the game as Maya for the first two years of owning the game until I got the GotY. But in my opinion he probably would be rather hard to grasp for newcomers. If you’re not up in someone’s face screaming about poop and axe murdering everyone in the immediate vicinity, you’re not using him right.
No melee, no guns… How do you kill things? xD
Maybe… but will force you to learn the game and be a “better” player overall.

Flame of the Firehawk, Raving Retribution, Bloodsplosion…with those skills and shield, all you have to do for the most part is kill an enemy and watch the bodies fly. It won’t work very well in OP 8, but I doubt @fordgirl27 is doing this at that level of difficulty.
@Gulfwulf You are correct! It was much easier doing those things before OP8, now I actually have to use my grenades and guns xD
I use mine until it’s time to bring out the big gun (ax), then I go to town.
