Possibly you won’t see them until you scale up your enemies to a certain point. They’re all held by Black and Silver tier enemies. Each story in the colosseum should have 3 of each type, Swords, Claymores and Spears.

That’s odd. They were black, but they were all wielding Knight stuff.

Yea I farmed the Coliseum a few times for elemental stuff, but it was pretty late in the game on my first play through so I’m not sure if the scaling factors in at all. But they’re definitely there! (at some point)

I saw those Amiibo yesterday, they look friggin’ sweet.

Got a bunch of shrines done, a few quests, and did lots of exploring. Even after all these hours, I’m honestly still enjoying the little things like that. (everything’s kind of a ‘challenge’ with only three hearts; I definitely got double KO’d in a shrine last night. The one with the swinging spiked balls. XD)

The coliseum also has a Korok and a few chests hidden along the very top of it.

Back over 50 shrines completed, I think I finished the night at 53 or 54. Got the 25 seed weapon upgrade, knocked out a couple other various things for sidequests.

Gotta get some rupees for the snow gear and the 10k fairy.

Ten thousand… Well, guess I better sell that stack of 100 Amber I got…

Explored the Castle Town a little bit, now that I’m not horribly concerned by Guardians anymore. (Did you know you can deflect their beams back at them? Bitchin’!) And got Memory #1. Not to give anything away, but it was kind of a shock after hearing about how great I am the whole game.

Ancient arrows are the best. And ironically, way easier for me to get than bomb arrows. Mostly because I forget Hoteno has an item shop, from time to time.

The ZeldaDungeon BotW map now has the ability to check off points of interest. http://www.zeldadungeon.net/breath-of-the-wild-interactive-map/

Haha yep that was one of my favorite things about starting a new game: killing those guardians right by the bomb shrine at the beginning with a crap Boko Shield with 3 defense. (and only 3 hearts)

I think I finished up last night at 68 shrines completed (on my new file), 115 seeds, and around 3500 gil. Took down a couple Blue Lynels in the process, one of which had a Crusher. I was pretty hyped on that.

You guys may have seen this already, but:

And, I remember seeing it a while back but never really tested it. Finally did yesterday: If you cook meals during the last 30 minutes before a blood moon, you’re guaranteed (or almost? not sure) the rare bonuses.

If you’ve gotta cook stuff, wait until then!

I think the most important note there is to follow the embers of your torch through the Lost Woods. As cool as the horse trick is.

78 shrines
115+ seeds
3600 rupees

Took down 3 major tests of strength with no attack food and taking no damage. (I still haven’t found any pieces of Barbarian gear either). “Major test” my ass. lol

Me at the start of the game: This “shrine detector” or whatever is annoying and shrines are really easy to spot. Why would I ever need this?

Me now: I refuse to believe that there are a hundred shrines in those four regions! Better turn the shrine detector on…

And Wolf Link guides me to them!

Haha yep. Kind of annoying at first, but eventually you hit the point where it’s exciting to hear it go off.

Knocked out some more stuff in the Gerudo Desert and Highlands. Barged in the Yiga Hideout which was actually pretty fun the second time around.

And speaking of Wolf Link, I still haven’t tried that out yet. Took to the time to get 20 hearts on it, but haven’t actually used the damn thing. lmao

lmao that’s great. Just 899 more to go now!

Finished up the night with 80 shrines completed, 146 seeds, and 4800 gil. I still have to do the labyrinths and I wanna get a horse when I go. Need to figure out the closest place to catch one.

Also, as I was doing random stuff in Gerudo Town, I noticed a book in the ladies house that gives cooking lessons. It actually mentions the special effects when you’re cooking just before a blood moon. TIL! (or YIL, rather)

82 shrines
153 seeds
5000 gil

Did a rare stone Talus loop last night (there are 7 total). I thought about something too: there might be some shrines and quests that aren’t available until you beat the Divine Beasts, so I may have to eventually complete some of them. I gotta go beat Ganon first while he still has full health though!

4 shrines
5+ quests

Thanks, I figured there had to be some. So, story time!

My last post I mentioned how I had been doing a Talus loop. I’m looking at a map of the rare ones, knocking them out one at a time, and the last one I need looks like it’s on the north side of the castle. Hmmmm…

Go and check it out, and it is literally inside the castle. I fight him and figure, s***, I’m already here. Let’s look around some more. Well, my lurking eventually led me straight to Ganon: it’s showtime!

I had no idea, but when you fight him without completing the Divine Beasts, you have to fight all four of the Blight bosses from the dungeons first, then fight Calamity Ganon’s spider form with full health! It was intense; I ended up ‘cheating’ and using foods that gave me temp-hearts. (thankfully I had a stockpile of stuff because I was getting my ass whooped. lol

It was awesome though. If you ever decide to start another file, 100% would recommend trying the fight like that.

Spent a little time lurking around Lake Hylia. Even after having this game for a month and a half, I gotta say, not being able to dive in there is kinda disappointing. :frowning:
