I suppose it’s just because I’m more content with the story than most. I enjoy the characters in the campaign, I enjoy Gearbox content, and I just enjoy Battleborn in general. So I don’t mind playing the same levels over and over again. I’m rank 12 with Miko and when I max, I’m going to move on to Caldarius, because he seems interesting, and it’ll let my brother earn a step towards his lore with Rath. If I earn a few legendaries along the way, cool. If not, oh well.
I just got a leg from the henchmen mini boss on the algorithm with my friend but his has way better stats. The build able power is kinda meh though. The special perk at the bottom is what makes it good. Haven’t used it once though. Don’t stress about getting a leg before you go pvp I didn’t. And once I cooled off I got one. It’s random so don’t hate the RNG gods. They’re there for you when you least expect it.
Playing 50 missions doesn’t guarantee a drop either. It’s 2% every time unfortunately. But that’s what make them legendary I guess. I’ll just stick with enjoying the game until I get them. Maybe go for some lore in the middle. Couldn’t hurt.
I’m kind of glad get legendary isn’t all that great. If it was game breakingly awesome then I’d be desperately focused on finishing her lore. As it is, I’m waiting on the 5 matches with ghalt because so few players have unlocked him and play him yet. I’m more interested in getting her master title at this point
I totally agree
@transcendantview
Legendary gear doesn’t come from chests, unless you count epic loot pack having a “chance” for a legendary drop.
Thats a lie. You can get legendary gear from faction specific packs. Ive gotten corpse reviver twice from rogue loot pack.
Those are loot packs not chests, I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t call me a liar thanks
Edit: for clarification, chests are the openable containers in PVE story mode that have loot packs, extra lives, shoot out score bubbles
@nappitz
My apologies then, I thought you meant the buyable chests/packs.
I’m pretty much convinced at this point that some sort of voodoo curse has been placed on me in regards to finding legendary gear. I made another thread about it… at this point I’m approaching 200 successful missions and I’ve only found 1 Legendary and that’s including spending 100,000 shards on gear packs (didn’t get a single legendary from gear packs). Plenty of Advanced and Advanced Hardcore too… usually get greens.
Persevere with it and you will be good, since I written the OP I’ve had around 5 Legendary items from various loot packs and 1 lore challenge, but never from a boss
I agree with your post in so many ways i started a thread weeks ago on same drop issues it severely needs to be addressed.
Instead of class changes being worked on, the incentive to redo advanced missions needs to be drop rate improved instead of … is it!! is it, it going to drop Legen…
.No… Common, Uncommon…Take 42… its starting to be no fun and their psych team can analyze that if they want to believe its fun…its kinda a drag and loot pack buying isn’t what i co-op for. Jaded by abysmal drop rates of legendary loot chances of bosses that drop greens… same for chests and others
i’m like wow bl 2 had loot done right…
Also, if you want to focus on PvP, too much of a good thing can actually be bad. At 1800 shards for activation cost, having a loadout of 3 legendaries is either unattainable, or is going to hamstring your team if you shard hog. Sure, you can take a shard generator with you, but then you’re giving up a slot that could be used to enhance your hero.
For Capture especially, where cashflow is generally low, some of the best gear is actually common gear with 0 shard activation cost, giving you an immediate advantage at the beginning of the round. All of them will have drawbacks, but if you can find one that’s irrelevant to your character (-% healing power for Oscar Mike for example), you will be better off than an opponent using the same character without gear. After getting the rest, proceed to spend shards on buildables, helping out your team, and leveling faster yourself.
Also, I know there are some great legendaries, some of which i would love to get my hands on, but hoarding them is not necessary, and just by focusing on each character’s lore-specific gear, you can build a solid PvP loadout.
That being said, best of luck y’all, may RNGesus smile upon you.
Did you read the part where I said Legendary items are useless in PvP, and that 1800 cost is the sole reason I said it
… I meant I wanted to focus on PvP because I enjoy it, but the grind to get Legendary items would be quicker grinding missions rather than PvP… It’s all good now, I’ve gotten quite a few since this post and hardly any of them I am using
…
Thank you for your insight on this
My bad, doing this off my phone on my commute, it loads the posts in batches and the search is a little wonky.
Good to hear you’ve been having better luck though!
Edit: nevermind, I’m either blind or have attentions span issues, still addreses some of the posters after you though
Wtf are you talking about ? Many of the legendarys break the game in PvP.
And then something like this happens:
It’s been said elsewhere that the Corpse Reviver isn’t a real legendary./ When you think about it there are only two stats unlike the third that other legendaries have. My son has two of them. Only thing legendary about them is their sell price.
Yet drawing 2 at the same time is…unusual
@Edgewriter
Which I would suggest taking full advantage of the sell price since you actually do get the 250 credits for selling it, and -CC only gear is not worth slotting over much better stat boosts unless combined with another better perk (just my opinion)
