Lucky!!!

Ty gbx.

They changed it back. Yay!!!

Live on ps4

Well, I’m glad we now have mode choices again, but now it seems to be taking way, way longer to find a match. I’ve literally given up several times and just went to play something else, because I could’nt handle feeling like I was just waisting my night away waiting to play. Still loving the game, but would love to see how things get worked out.

Matchmaking is awful. Spent more time looking for matches then actually playing. Think after 200 hours into the game it’s time to hang it up and try something else

200 hours is a lot of time for games nowadays lol.

Sorry you’re having issues.

Matchmaking has never once been an issue nor a near issue for me. I’ve been lucky. I have other problems with BB but the matchmaking has always been great.

I hope they can figure out something soon.

Jythri did say in the next patch it will address some of the matchmaking issues.

I have more time than that, but the majority of the time allocated to this game has been spent in queues or in one unsatisfyingly sided matches.

I think im around 200. Not counting Beta.

I didn’t know the game counted time outside of matches. Maybe that’s something they could separate.

It definitely would bring more light to the long queueing issues.

seriously when GBX said they loosened it i didnt think they meant this much. i get teams almost constantly now where i have low lvl players and the other team is high lvl usually a lvl 100 premade, and i also get people who dont know what they are even doing AT ALL! people who are atleast past lvl 5 or 10 should know what they are doing by then. i dont want to constantly get matched with a supposed master of oscar mike that cant do anything to save his lifeor get an oscar mike in general because almost all of them that i played with idnt know how to play him…THE EASIEST CLASS EVER!! or get matched with people who run in and die all the time

I’m glad you clarified that because I have his mastery and I do know how to play him. :dukecigar: If I don’t have the highest or near the highest minion kills, I feel I haven’t done my job. I also tend to get quite a few assists and I try to damage the Sentry in Incursion as much as I can without retaliation…not that it always works that way. But yeah, there is a proper way to play him and an improper way to. You might want to tell your teammates the proper way next time you’re teamed up with one who doesn’t know what they’re doing.

Are you on PC? PC’s matchmaking (as of this morning, I think) has been temporarily removed in an effort to get everyone in a match as fast as possible. I can’t remember where I saw this, but it was from Jythri himself. I’d go looking for it, but I’ve gotta be somewhere. I’ll post a link later if nobody else does.

sound like a good teammate in general then  and most of the time the ones i do get either run in and die or just stand up in the sniper tower well im trying to snipe getting in my way and somehow thinking they can do something by just shooting their AR that long of range. and im on xbox one

Look at the bright side, it means that there’s an influx of new console players. Granted, that means it’s going to get worse before it gets better, but still… more players.

So far, I’ve been playing BB since it’s release. I’ve seen every patch and update come and go and the worst and best parts of it all. That being said, as things currently stand, public multiplayer matchmaking really needs the following two fixes. (As I type this I’m up to my 10th minute waiting on a Meltdown match. I’ve even gotten a full team twice but inevitably someone gives up and leaves and we’re back to waiting.)

  • “Any Mode” queue. You had it in the beta, you had a few weeks ago, and then you got rid of it again. Why? I don’t care what mode I play if I get to play, and the All Modes/Casual Play queue was SO much quicker than the Competitive Play one. Just what I and others wanted.

  • Drop In/Drop Out. I got Overwatch lately and for all the complaining people do about quitters, AFKers and surrender-monkeys here, Overwatch has -just- as many of them. I used Zenyatta’s ult (personal invuln + huge aoe heaing for those that don’t know) to nullify a full-team rush and 4 of their 5 quit the game, only to be replaced within seconds with other people, allowing the game to continue without pause.

These two things alone would, from what I’ve seen, more or less totally sort out the matchmaking queue times and the problem with quitters - which will never be fixed any other way because these are the same people who will drop out of a match the minute they’re 10 points behind no matter what else you do or say.

Any mode queue meant incursion & overgrowth. Drop in / drop out doesn’t work when there are levels and gear.

It’s been mentioned by someone else on here before, but you could drop someone in at their team’s average level so they could select their helix choices immediately and let them see their team’s character picks so they can choose a complementing character. It could be done, but I really don’t see GBX actually doing it anyway

I played every map and mode with the exception of the snowy Meltdown one who’s name I forget while the casual play queue was available. So I’m guessing you just had bad luck. ■■■■ it, I’ll play IO if it gets me quicker queues.

Levels - give drop-in players an average helix level based on the rest of their team and let them pick choices.
Gear - Let them pick one or two of their gear items based on how much of the game’s total timer is left.

Well that was an easy fix.

Yea, I loved the casual queue and the competitive queue, I was playing maps that were never picked too which was good. I think they should have loosened the ELO a bit more for those queues though. Reason why they switched back was basically the console players wanted to pick modes which my guess is because they have enough players. However for PC it was the opposite, I was happy to play any mode. I understand they have to have matchmaking the same in all platforms though.
