I have a feeling that if the drop rate for the gear is bugged or some such thing then the event will be extended a little longer to make up for the mix up. That being said Iām still not sure there is a problem or not. Time will tell either way. Anyway, @JoeKGBX who would I ping to look into this? Iām going to guess @gRANT_ would be the one to talk to about this (he made a thread on the reddit subforum asking about the loot drops on Heliophage after fighting Rendain). Sorry for pinging you guys but I figured this would be an appropriate time to do so.
Only thing that I can think of thatās happening is the event is working against/negating the hotfix that increased legendary drop rates. What should have been pretty much a guaranteed drop each run is behaving just like the hotfix that they implemented, meaning this weekend really is nothing special. (Aside from the loot packs, but even those are met with disappointment)
Another mission met with ultimate disappointment. Iām done for the day, I canāt handle getting absolutely nothing for my efforts.
Lootpocalypse is a failureā¦green as far as the eye can seeā¦from bosses.

Definitely not seeing some amazing increase
Havenāt checked epic packs but missions not so much
I, as well, am not noticing a significant increase, or any increase in loot quantity or quality from story runs or pack openings. If anything, it seems worse the last day and a half.
I totally get the feelings of frustration, but I did intend for the thread to actually report some data to a dev who might not be interested, so please try to give numbers of runs, drops, etc. with your post. I get the need to vent frustration, but I want this thread to be something the devs find helpful instead of simply discouraging.
Maybe we can start a different thread to simply talk about expectations vs. the real thing on an event like this where the benefits are cut and dry like a double xp event where we know our time will be rewarded.

It seems possible things arenāt working entirely as weād hoped, although some people seem to be having pretty good luck. Weāve been investigating everything over the weekend. The plan as it stands now is to figure out whatās up, adjust it appropriately, and then possibly, extend the event.
We definitely want to make sure weāre giving you guys good experiences when it comes to community events!

Itās definitely not working. Drop rates for legendary gear most definitely arenāt noticeably higher than before.
And if possible please donāt just extend the event for a couple of days. Most people arenāt going to be able to take advantage of it if itās extended to Monday and Tuesday. It really works best as a weekend event.
I got a Vow of Vengeance so Iām feeling great. Too bad Saboteur takes so long.

Had an Advanced Hardcore run of The Algorithm last night - got Gold Rating, and 3 Legendary Drops! It was lootpocalyptic!

Alright, I played for a bit again today with some success. Did the saboteur 3 more times on advance, got modernista two more times, and FINALLY a singularity launcher on the third. Felt so good, went into the sentinel and got Vyns quiver as well, but that was pretty much it. 4 runs, 10 bosses total, 5 legendaries gained. Still sitting on a 50% chance it seems, which is ok I suppose. Loadouts are looking really good now.
Myself wasted over 40000 Credits for packs and havenāt got anything. What about people that spend their Credits inā¦ nothing?
I feel like Iām having about the same drop rate before the event. Bosses dropping uncommons with a chance of legendariesā¦ Should be epics and legendaries truthfully but I did get some nice stuff. Opened around 6 epic packs and got no legendariesā¦ Before the event I was getting them from purple packs more often.
Lootpocalypse is a go. Just got 5 legendaries from a single Algorithm run.

Seeeee and you said my four legendary drops was not possible 
That story supposedly took place before any of the legendary drop rate increases.
