Let DT help you by getting Robot Rampage; also things shouldn’t be getting close enough to you to use With Claws (not only that but you have to burn a stack of Anarchy to use it, which seems counter-productive to me). If you’re going to go with a turtle shield the extra capacity from Myelin should help as should CuT to keep your health up. A good way to do that with no fear of accidentally reloading is to use Jakobs coach guns with 2-3 round mags- Smaller, Lighter, faster should take that down to only 1 round, which means that even if you use it to kill with, the mag stays full since it only has a mag size of 1, allowing CuT to activate.
As far as the Fibber goes, base rule of thumb is that the largest base damage Fibber has the ricochet barrel, the smallest base damage one has the crit barrel while the one with the x1 has the ‘shotgun’ barrel. So long as you don’t leave the area you can test the Fibber there to make sure you got the version you want- if you didn’t then just quit the game w/o saving and try again. Hope any of this helped…
I just realized what you meant with “the last thing you want to do before you actually start UVHM is gain any more levels”, my TVHM guns are underleveled for level 53 (when I actually went into UVHM)… F*ck
I’m having a similar problem. Gaige is level 70, specced into Anarchy and BFF. I spent some time in Sanctuary, unloading my shotgun at the practice dummy. The shotgun was not great, a blue level 70. At around zero stacks of Anarchy, the best pellet was doing about 1100K damage. At 400 stacks, the best pellet was doing about … 1600K. Whoop-dee-doo?
I kept the 400 stacks and went to Three Horns Divide to try the bullymongs near the Catch-a-Ride. I unleashed DT, slagged a couple of mongs, charged up with my shotgun, and blasted away. The bullymongs’ health barely budged. In about five seconds, I was in FFYL. “Aim at the ground,” they said, so I did, but to no effect. Aiming at the animals themselves also had little effect. I was dead in a few seconds.
So in my case, Anarchy doesn’t wreck face or any other body part, unless you count my own.
If you won’t mind posting your build, that would help with any analysis of what might be changed to increase your odds of surviving. Also, what manufacturer for the shotgun (Gaige does really well with Jakobs shotguns IMO)? And while shooting at the ground is a thing (especially with a ricochet Fibber) it does help to have certain skills specced like The Nth Degree and Close Enough…

My suggested changes and the reasoning for them:
BSS is a kill skill and as such makes both Fancy Mathematics and UF redundant (although UF is nice for the movement speed so if you want to move faster keep that). If you weren’t using BSS (and I’ve done exactly that in the past, even with an OC build) then FM and UF would be great alternatives. 3/5 in Preshrunk Cyberpunk will give you 300 stacks of Anarchy at max, which I can say from experience is enough to unlock OP8 with so the other 2 points can be used elsewhere. Myelin increases your shield capacity and provides shock resistance, which is a good thing to have to keep your now bigger shield up. So5G and Robot Rampage both give DT a bit more oomph for delivering damage, which makes him more useful to have out. Drop your last 2 points when you get them wherever you like, especially if you have a com that can benefit from having at least 1 point in a skill. As far as shotguns a 2 mag Jakobs coach gun would be great for Gaige- S,L,F drops the mag size to 1 so that it’s always loaded even after firing, which means you get the benefit of CuT w/o having to worry about accidentally reloading and burning off stacks. Anything with multiple pellets/bullets like the Conference Call, ricochet Fibber and Blockhead are also good with your build since you have both The Nth Degree and Close Enough (the Swordsplosion might also be great with this too, as well as Ravagers and Hulks). Even at this stage you might want to continue to experiment with your weapon choices- something might come along that really brings out her power once you get what you want. Hope any of this helped…
