Level cap increase soon

i would like to, rofl

These events and weapons will make a return. Noelle has said as much. I personally enjoy the revolving meta. Keeps the game fresh. Once the content cycle is finished we can play with all of these things.

Mayhem 2.0 and the current weapon scaling is a whole nother matter. I’ve personally taken a break and gone back to BL2 until DLC3 next week.

Yeah me too. Giving us levels in dribd and dabs is just frustrating. I may just uninstall the game and wait for the first season to be over and play the remaining 2 doc’s at once.

just going to farm the 5 or so that i play with plus shields and artifacts Thats it and what ever new ones drop from cap increase patch.
LoL really goning to empty out the bank this time.

…but that is all anyone does. No one is farming a Monocle or Turbo Ten Gallon. Literally all I need to farm are Redistributor, Kaoson, Backberner, Monarch because I haven’t even used any other guns that will still be available to farm in the last month. I can’t think of the last time I used a pistol actually.

Yeah, but think of all the cool stuff you can miss. I got into BL2 late and always wanted a Grog Nozzle I could keep rather than what rolled each time I entered the game, but had missed the chance. :flushed:

So did I- about July 2014 IIRC- so in time for the Community Event that dropped permanent GN but after things like the Bee/CC combo in its heyday. But if anything, The Handsome Collection has shown me that you can wait and get the best version of a game with all dlc included at a bargain of a price and most tech/game play issues ironed out. Sure you may not be there at the game’s height but you’ll more than likely have a stable, enjoyable game to play for hundreds of hours over quite a few years…

I completely agree. Patiently waiting is not one of my strong points and I’ve learned from this experience that being an early adopter in a game is far from being all roses. I don’t think I’ll do it again.

So I really don’t think we will get those before the next update

How many do you think it will take to balance all the problems coming with dlc 3?

Well it was either buy 3 at Steam launch or twiddle my thumbs until Outer Worlds came out :stuck_out_tongue:

Everything was balance to M1.0 M4,… so who know what it will take to scale to the new system,…

No, that’s fair. There are a LOT of options, but that wasn’t the point I was trying to make. Players are asking for specific things, like splitsreen, and that isn’t an option gearbox wants to give. They don’t care how players want to play, only how they expect us to play.
Take Mayhem. I want to be able to pick 5 modifiers at mayhem 1, and enjoy randomness without difficulty. Other people want mayhem 10 with no modifiers, to enjoy max difficulty without randomness. Gearbox wants each mayhem level to have a specific number of modifiers, of a specific difficulty setting, and you don’t get any choice in the matter.

To an extent, I’d agree with this. Until it’s released, they can make it any way they want it, and we have to put up with it. Once we have paid for it, based on how it is at the time, and can no longer get our money back if it isn’t what we wanted, they shouldn’t be able to change the game into something fundamentally different (Like Mayhem 2.0), without giving an option to stay the way we paid for. If they add a DLC that changes the game, I can choose whether or not to buy it. If they add a patch that changes it, I can’t.
And sure, we can stay offline, but tons of people bought B3 for online co-op with friends at endgame, and now can’t play the way they paid for.

All of these would make the game much better.

It’s not optional if you bought the season pass. You can’t choose not to have mayhem 2.0 AND to have the DLCs. They require the latest patches, which include mayhem 2.0. That’s one of the reasons so many people are annoyed.
If it was optional, people would choose to stick with mayhem 1.0, which they paid for.
And, if you mean, “playing in mayhem mode is optional”, that’s bull****, too. It’s a fundamental part of the game, and the reward granted by opening the final vault. Are you saying that class mods and relics are optional content, too? Or guns? Shields? ETC.
This is a huge part of the game, and we can’t choose not to have it included. That’s the issue.

Yeah, beta testing isn’t really the right term. Gamma testing would be a better description. Many games rely on players as a “gamma test”, instead of releasing it “fully tested”.
I’m fine with that distinction, but I would still prefer a game to be as close to “fully tested” as possible, rather than having to put up with tons of bugs and glitches.

And this is the problem. WHO SAYS borderlands is all about farming. A lot of players (especially on the forums), seem insistent that B3 is all about farming bosses. I don’t agree. To me, it’s all about playing through maps and killing mobs. Farming is something I do occasionally, to get gear for what the game is actually all about.
If that’s how you choose to play, that’s cool, but don’t claim it’s all the game is about.
I get that some people consider the farming to be the whole game, and gearbox seems to push this idea, but it shouldn’t be the only way to play the game. That’s why I loved the “loot the universe” event, as it pushed back against this idea and encouraged the idea of “playing the game” to get the best loot.

Uh…that’s been one of my biggest issues since October at the earliest :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

Quite frankly, speaking as a FL4K, the staggering amount of day one bugs that bleed massive amounts of damage and survivability from our kit has been a source of constant irritation. Bugged skills in Borderlands tend to be being too powerful or extremely niche, not being nonfunctional.

I meant mayhem mode IS OPTIONAL TO TURN ON OR OFF ya freakin’…
walnut.

That’s a new one. Creative though.

I like it.

sure you can turn it off and play the game without difficulty
but if you want the game to be good (challenging) you have to play with disneyland modifiers
there is no way around it

The comment was that we expect bugs, and we should expect fixes to those. The community isn’t opposed to fixes but opposed to continuing to dump more new features onto an existing foundation that isn’t solid.

It is, you quite obviously have not played long enough. Shoot, loot, get what you’re looking for. Rinse repeat. It requires work for the best builds. To the novice and casual players this doesn’t matter, so this does not apply to you.

Point blank, if you pay for something it should work. No, I don’t agree with we should have expected the bugs and fixes and patches and complete screwup‘s. The game was in a decent state prior to Mayhem 2.0. Now it’s completely broken. Let me put this another way, you go out and buy a brand new muscle car a few months later the manufacturer has a recall on the engine. You take it back in to have the recall serviced. You pick up the car drive it off the lot and it feels like a Prius. No, not at all what I expect.
