A Gatlin’ prefix would be nice, although not required. Require anointed, preferably with Consecutive Hits anointment, but I can re-roll it myself if necessary.

I am willing to trade gear, I have a ton of good stuff. Just let me know what you are looking for.

GT: Los Serpientes

Anyone? Anyone?

Gimme a day and I send one your way.
You want not the Masher variant but the Gatlin and preferably a consec hits anoint, I see .
Pretty sure I can provide

That would be amazing. None of the specs are required, I am really just wanting to try a Blade Fury “melee” build for Moze and I thought that a Gatlin version with a CH anoint probably would work best. Other thoughts on that?

Much appreciated.

I think a killstack anointed one should be fine for mobbing, too. Maybe terror cryo dmg one as well when paired with the generate terror upon melee anoint on a grenade and terror dmg and fire rate on shield for that v1 bonus
At least worth trying, I think.

If everything comes together I should be able to check my bank and send some stuff over within the next 24 hrs.

The terror on melee is a great idea. And terror cryo and possibly even an Ice Breaker of some description could be fun too (maybe not the most powerful, but worth trying) with the terror cryo. I bet the UTD artifact is the one you’d want to use for melting bosses though. I’ve never messed with that one too much.

Thats what I like about Blade Fury Moze the most, there’s a massive amount of ways to customize it with all the different shield and relic options. Suppose that’s also true for face puncher to an extent but the combination of splash gun damage and melee on a Jakobs just feels right on Moze lol.

Knife drain, white elephant, static charge, planetoid, all the stones, brawler ward, stinger, shooting star, the possibilities are endless

@ucfmatt The other thing about the Blade Fury is that you’re pulling from the ridiculously large AR ammo pool. You tend to run into ammo issues with the Face Puncher, but ammo is pretty much not ever an issue with ARs (unless possibly you’re using COV or maybe Vladof, but in the Blade Fury application it doesn’t apply).

Not that Moze has a lot of ammo issues generally LOL, I was more thinking about other characters but the logic still applies to some extent.

Good point. Reminds me of the time I was running a weird COV pistol build in co-op Slaughtershaft. Halfway through one of the rounds I suddenly wasn’t able to shoot at all. Took me a few moments to realize what happened, I had completely run out of ammo lol. Playing Moze so long ammo just stops being a concern at all

@derwitte @ucfmatt So I got ahold of a Gatlin Blade Fury through my Vault Card - the first one I have gotten as anointed per the almighty Vault Card reward rules LOL. Re-rolled it to an ASE radiation version and a purple-blue-orange tree Amara build to maximize melee. I am running it with a UTD but occasionally an elemental Stone White Elephant. Running a TTB build focused around melee and cooldown.

Good lord, this might be the most insane build of any one I have ever run in this game. Totally ridiculous for mobbing and bossing. And I am what I would consider to be a “middling” Amara player - I wonder what this build could do in the hands of someone who actually knew what they were doing. I just played a GTD with two Mozes and a Deathless Fl4k and absolutely carried our party. The Blade Fury is totally insane when paired with the right gear - “jeez” is all I can say.

This is even more brainless than Mindsweeper Moze. It actually kinda reminds me of Deputy Sal a little bit, insomuch as once you get the right gear and the right spec (and I am not even sure I have a totally maximized spec, again not really an Amara player too much), you just go out there and cut it loose, and the game just takes care if itself.

In Soviet Russia, game plays itself with Blade Fury Amara. I think I can accurately say this is the best all-around build I have ever used in this game. The Red Fang Gamma Fl4k build I run is really good at survival (most important to me generally for a build), mobbing (obviously) and bossing (primarily via Infernal Wish shenanigans), but it’s not this good.

Since I know you’re a FL4K main, also try it out on them.
Pair it with a Bounty Hunter COM (melee dmg, wpn dmg, mag size) and a corrosive stone static charge (corrosive dmg, mag size, melee dmg); preferably with terror anoint setup (ammo regen counters slow reload speed although BH com helps with that, too, cryo dmg, generate terror on melee) and go to town.
It’s not as strong as Punchbot but it’s a different avenue (as it lets you still stack the BH coms effect while dealing melee-based dmg) that requires zero ramp up and gets rid of the Face-puncher for a change. Also, AR ammo pool is plenty.

On the Amara build I described above, when you wanna get really crazy, hold a Guardian Angel and toss a Fish Slap. It melts literally anything.

True. Amara has everything the Fish Slap needs: splash, elemental and melee boosts.
And what she does not have in her trees, the GA and the terror dmg and fire rate anoint can provide.
She is really good with it. Seldom enough for her to be that good with something compared to others.

@derwitte @ucfmatt Seriously, Blade Fury Amara is actually broken. I initially wanted a Blade Fury to run with Moze but I tried it on Amara first even though I don’t like Amara that much. An Amara TTB build with the Blade Fury is probably one of the most brokenly good builds in any Borderlands game to this point. You’re basically immortal because you’re Amara, and the damage is Deputy Sal levels of ridiculous or possibly even better by comparison, because Deputy Sal at least took some aiming. This is just plain silly. Phasegrasp enemy, shoot in general direction, everything dies. I have my fastest MTD clear times with this build. Actually insane. This shouldn’t exist, it’s so strong.

That’s awesome. Have you tried it with Moze at all yet? Only weapons I recall feeling that way about with Moze were the Yellowcake and to a lesser degree Kaoson and of course those were both nerfed shortly after. Hoping they leave blade fury alone.

@ucfmatt I tried it on Moze but I was less impressed with the results generally. It’s not that it was bad, I definitely don’t have the correctly-rolled COMs for it on Moze. Unleash the Dragon also doesn’t seem to benefit you as much on Moze since she already has so much incendiary damage, which makes artifact selection a little more dicey as well (there are many options for Stones or Static Charges, so that may be an option for exploring).

I guess my perspective on it was that I was not getting as good a result from a Blade Fury centric build on Moze as I get from a typical Moze build. So by comparison to how great it makes Amara, the Blade Fury doesn’t make Moze as great.

In case anyone is interested, here’s what I am using to try to maximize the Blade Fury on Amara. If you guys see places where there could be improvements, I’d welcome it.

Build: Skill Calculator • Amara • BL3 | Lootlemon

Gear:

Phasezerker with splash damage and AR damage passives

ASS Re-Volter

Unleash the Dragon (melee and incendiary)

Double Link roll Radiation Fish Slap with ASE elemental (OGT would work too but I like more elements LOL)

Gatlin Blade Fury with Consecutive Hits

Guardian Angel (for Fish Slap shenanigans) with 150/90

I also keep a Free Radical solely for dealing with Schismatic Diadems because they don’t respond well to melee.

FYI Fish Slap shenanigans are the most powerful thing in this build, and I barely even use it because the Blade Fury aspect is already so powerful.

Agree about Dragon relic. Blade Fury bullets are splash damage so something with AOE would probably be better on Moze.

Looks fine to me. Although the AR and splash passive will not do anything for the melee aspect of the BF, same goes for Personal Space as that is gun only v2.
Regular gun dmg and ofc melee dmg will apply, although you already have melee via skills.

Maybe switch element to Blight Tiger, at least when going against Wotan. You already have the revolter in place.

And yes, Amara is really nice with the Fish Slap. Ahe has everthing it needs: Splash, elemental dmg, melee dmg.

Terror v1 (dmg & fr) and/or a elemental stone vic rush would another fresh mult for her as she has no other means of getting v1.

@derwitte Yeah I definitely don’t run shock as my AS element except during certain sections of the GTD where it can be relevant - typically run corrosive but I have tried cryo and fire as well for various scenarios.

So if regular gun damage applies to Blade Fury via skills and COM, why wouldn’t an AR damage passive on my COM also benefit the weapon damage side of the Blade Fury? I posed this question in another thread last night, being lazy about testing, and didn’t get any responses. I would have assumed that if weapon damage bonuses benefit the weapon damage side of the BF, AR damage passive bonuses should too.

AR dmg is assault rifle-only v2 dmg. And since v2 dmg is calculated on-hit it checks if the hit is caused by an AR.
The melee part of the BF, however, is not AR but melee dmg when it hits, so it does not get the bonus.
It is the same principle why the Face Puncher does not get Shotgun dmg bonuses.

Gun dmg, however, is calculated on-shot, so even the melee “projectiles” get it when they are released from the barrel.

So the AR part of the BF does get the AR dmg and the splash dmg from your passives, just not the melee part.
