Has anyone actually gotten a Linc to drop from Anointed Alpha since the patch and hotfix last week?

I farmed Anointed Alpha at least 30 times and did not get one single Linc, of any flavor, at all. Not one. I know RNG be RNG, and I suppose that 0-30 technically is within the RNG, but it’s highly unlikely. I am guessing it is probably about a 15% drop rate like other dedicated drops? I cannot remember how to do the chances of NOT having something happen right now, because I am old and lazy (LOL), but I do know the chances of me not seeing it yet, even once, are fairly remote. Even at a 5% drop rate, I am guessing the chances of not seeing one Linc drop in 30 kills still would be fairly remote.

Given all the above, I am kind of wondering if, along with making the Linc potentially anointed last week, they also messed up the drop rate somehow. Has anyone gotten a Linc to drop since the patch last week?

I haven’t farmed for one, but in have been seeing a lot of evidence that the fix didn’t work and it still cannot drop anointed.

15% chance of dropping is 85% chance of not dropping. Chance of it not dropping after 30 runs is .85x.85x.85 etc, or .85^30 which is 0.763%. Congrats, you’re the lucky 1/100. Or it’s broken, haven’t farmed it and as such have no idea, just wanted to toss in the math for you.

LOL thanks @GiantOctopodes I knew I had to have been unlucky if it is just down to RNG. But that is part of why I am asking - is everyone this unlucky right now?

I got one - the rarity spike has the sparkle of an anointment, but there isn’t a description on the card. If the mechanism is in place and the only thing missing is the card text, I’m not sure how I’d tell without some seriously random testing. :thinking:

I’m just psyched they decided to anoint this weapon - it should be ironed out at some point, and I’m looking forward to more.

Thanks @Adabiviak. I just wanted to make sure it was dropping. Looks like my luck is bad as usual LOL.

I have not rolled one with an anointment. I think its bugged.

It is dropping and still can’t be anointed.

Got one. It’s pretty rare and I think it took me 15-20 runs to get one to drop. Also, it still can’t come anointed, that part of the patch didn’t work.

I had it drop as well, you have to be rather persistent to get one and it is not anointed… yeah it is embarassing but I am not even surprised at this point

To me, the Linc always sucked pretty bad. Even if Gearbox would ever get the anointing of it right, I doubt it would worth farming for. Especially with so many bad anointments in the pool already. Not sure why Gearbox tried and failed to improve this weapon but even if they did succeed, my guess is that it too would need multiple buffs before it would be considered good.

I farmed for one on PS4 and had it drop without an anointment. Extra annoying because the load times specifically of The Anvil are especially annoying. You get the load screen for a while, but then the screen just goes black for a while before you can actually play.

It’s not just the linc although I have been farming that gun for 2 days and it only dropped now with no anointment.

Roadhog doesn’t drop any thing. Not even money and he was broken since December. Still not fixed.
