List of stuff GB needs to take a look at/rework

I meant it a bit jokingly, but seeing inflated heads on midgets really pulled me out of the experience I’ve come to expect from the grit of Borderlands. They’ve created this world that is an amazing blend of comic hyperbole and art style mixed with the brutality of a future ruled by pitiless mega corporations like those seen in the most popular dystopias.

We’ve witnessed whole sale slaughter by megalomaniacs, with characters that bear the scars left by the borderlands.

But oh, hey, there’s a midget with a head like a beach ball!

Given the right build every at least decent weapon can shred pretty much every boss within seconds unless he has immunity phases. The Ion Cannon wouldn’t do anything that can’t already be achieved through other means so there is no point in not unnerfing it. Something being “overturned” is not a legitimate issue as Borderlands is not a PvP based game that would usually aim for this kind of balance. The only kind of balance which actually matters is gear vs. content in terms of viability aka “if something underperforms it should get buffed”.

I honestly see no reason why we cant have scopes and magazines changed out. Crysis 1 did this really well and I think ruined stagnant part weapons for me. And no, farming variations is not fun.

XD

ALso, it is just the modern thing to do. I can get that Borderlands is sticking to its guns on many new features (literally) but I think the time has come to evolve or become irrelevant.

  1. Seasonal Events should be introduced and then be re-activatable. Maybe have a simple repeatable quest that can be done. Imagine wasting the whole of Ultra Violets Mansion or the Halloween event place just cause of timed events. If I pay 60 dollars for a game upfront, the game should give me what it has to offer upfront.

  2. Clean house. Basically, fix the stuff that everyone is already talking about. Maybe let the next big patch be a bunch of fixes for the communities biggest issues that can be fixed. (Spring Cleaning update.) Toss is a few Newer Versions of Old Legendaries and two arenas with updated bosses, then we good. XD kek.

  3. Keep up with the better storylines for future DLC. I liked the stories in the DLC’s. SO much bettter than the Campiagn. I hadnt laughed at all in BL3 until the Library conversation in DLC 2. Now that is good writing. I am actually hype for the next mainline DLC.

  • We need more arenas and RUns to do.

  • Athenas runs. Lectra City runs. Loots is only as good as the stuff you get to kill with it. So some good number of new enemies and new creative arenas would be good.

Might Be Time to reconsider all the ■■■■ you dropped out of the Airlock at the start of the game XD

Cause variety and new ■■■■ is the spice of life.

well, i understand it in general
this is a looter game
you dont want to have your perfect gear in a week
that would limit the overall playtime of this game to a week for some people (like me)
but currently, RNG is SO hard that you dont get ANYTHING, you are looking for
and money and eridium is completely redundant

yeah but still is the best RL in the game haha…

before it was absolutely insane! they realy had to increase the ammo consumption (or buff every RL in the game haha)

it made everything absolete

I’m a bit torn. Because as much as RNG is a good way to get players to keep coming back to your game, that is more of free to play design.

Imagine for a moment, if legendaries were all tied to quests or arena challenges.

Like, the Monarch was at the top of the Mansion. And you needed to solve a secret riddle and / or do some light parkour to reach its chest. Then fight a baddass enemy using it.

A group of chicks dekked out in the Monarchs skin with monarchs and screaming some stuff about working for Ultra violent and ganster things etc.

It aint much, but it is something.

Or all weapons dropped without annoints and to annoint them you had to go and fight some eridian challenge. Or anoint keys were given to you by eridians after completing one of those side challenges. And to unlock the Portals you had to pay eridium. And you got to choose your annointment. Blah blah blah. Something something gifts to helpy you prepare for great war something.

  • Then Crazy earl could help you customise your gun parts in exchange for eridium.

These are simple systems. But they remove the rng meaningless farm a boss 100 times and make it so you have a clear path to get the weapon you want. The legendary…GOD ROLLLLLLLL.

But instead of RNG. YOu have to work and put the pieces together.

It could be done really well. BL3 actually has a few hundred gun parts and about 60 guns. Including legendary parts (Which are mostly just stat tweaks) You get a couple dozen more. Then there are a few legendaries that legitimately are unique and have special abilities.

Anyway. THat is a massive discussion. But what I mean is RNG is not the only way to do this stuff.

XD

ok. I stop now.

you could do stuff like that but
need to be careful
you can not remove all the RNG from a game like this
crafting and questing for stats can be a thing but it has to be a smaller part
like, you could farm a gun 2 times and then remove the parts from 1 gun (that would destroy the gun) and put it into the other gun
so you still had to find the gun with the parts that you need
same could be done with anointments
destroy an anointed item to put its anointment onto an other item
