Ok so inventory – map.
go to Galaxy view. Occasionally i get my planets and subsequent locations in the order of discovery.
I can do the same again at another point and they are in alphabetical order.
I can’t see any buttons for ordering (ps4 by the way)
Am i being stupid or does it seems to be sporadic.

I’ve noticed the same.
This happened to me and I have no idea why. You are not alone.
In my experience:
Online/hotifix = discovery order
offline = seemingly random
This is now happening even with Hotfix’s loaded. Quite annoying, for the OCD afflicted.
It was all ok until I started DLC3 on TVHM, then order went to pot.
