these fools are seriously saying BL2 is easier?

Lol TPS is clearly easier, are they trolling? TPS you can actually get through NVHM without grinding pretty much, I was taking on Story Missions 2 or 3 levels under, and getting through them fine. This is IMPOSSIBLE to do on BL2, even on NVHM you have to grind some e.g. before you take on the Bloodshots.

I’ve noticed sometimes it seems alot of Borderlands fans like to troll ppl on message boards? I wonder why

Nope. I think you’ll find that every gaming forum on the internet is full of it. Modern gamers, mostly the younger ones are growing up like this. Not to say the older ones don’t, but if you look through some reddit communities literally every thread is a meme and conversations that have nothing to do with the topic.

It seems like venting frustration and unleashing witty, sarcastic, unfriendly comments are the norm. This used to be mainly youtube, but reddit is now awful (for the most).

Not to say there are LOTS of nice people out there, friendly and helpful. But it’s not just Borderlands.

On topic: I personaly think that B2 is easier. I can go through Normal, TVHM and UVHM and only lose 1,2,3 lives. In TPS i lost loads. I can make it through UVHM story using only level 50 gear, and without dying. It’s easier to be OP in B2, the balance is better in TPS.

On the matter of difficulty:
For me personally, NVHM feels harder in TPS, especially those pests of eternals and flying enemies. TVHM is about equal in difficulty for most of the time. UVHM on the other hand is a strange beast. I still hate pretty much everything that flies, so I struggle against the flying enemies in TPS more as they are quicker, but from the OP Levels onwards, BL2 is the straight up more difficult game, even with the usage of overpowered gear.

All in all I would agree that TPS is the better balanced game which leads to a smoother difficulty curve, but BL2 has the higher difficulty ceiling, especially in many bosses as not all of them are as good designed (unavoidable Novas, permanent DoTs, no adds etc.) as TPS’ bosses.

On trolls: People on the internet seem to enjoy their fair share of trolling, so that needs to be expected. Not that it is a good thing though, as it can destroy otherwise good topics and conversations.

Ah, but which game do you have more hours in? I can’t imagine going through UVHM in either game with only level 50 weapons, but I’m willing to bet that you’ve put in substantially more play time than I have in either one.

I just started TPS and normal mode does feel harder to me.
There’s more “sudden death”. Some no name mob health gate you with an elemental weapon and the DoT finishes you… Just like if I was in UVHM ! Probably fighting a boss…
As for the other modes. I’ll see if I keep playing.

I haven’t found the mobs to be a problem so much as the environment - cryo vines and barrels can leave you highly vulnerable if you don’t watch it. Plus barrels will respawn while you’re still in the area if you wait long enough…

Don’t get me started on TPS environnement ! lol

If you start BL2 UVHM at level 48 as many do (or 49 I can’t remember) you can kinda run through the story (especially if playing as Zero) so that when you finish you will only be like level 55 or something.

That makes what he said believable I suppose… Juuuuust
