Yeah, that probably pisses me off more than them dropping nothing!

@Troubled OK, thank you. This is the answer I was looking for.

@TheRandomGoth If you’re on PC you should join my games. Relics for daaaayz.

@anon13808724 Strange thing is, I don’t even think the LLM I’ve been killing have been dropping white, green, blue or purple weapons either. Just ammo, money and relics.

It’s when you get four Jimmy Jenkins to spawn in the Midget Motel in WEP that you know that RNG is giving you the finger.

So, I just reset UVHM to get some OP 6 stuff for future characters. Very first loot midget I come across is in Frostburn Canyon, solo. A pearl is finally dropped! An OP 4 Avenger. 30 seconds later I find another and he drops an OP 5 DPUH.

Kind of sucks that it took me resetting to “fix” it but I’ll take it.

I was trying to farm the loot midgets in wildlife preserve after resetting uvhm to get 72 stuff, trying to get a butcher. I was getting maybe 1-2 relics each time, and I eventually got an avenger (pearl SMG) and decided to give up on it. I also tried to farm tubbies for a bekah for a little bit and they seem to never drop pearls, just the legendary class mods and sometimes a cracked sash. I’ve gotten about the same amount of pearls from the warrior as i’ve gotten from tubbies and loot midgets.

If you are going to farm tubbies be sure to have a comfy chair, a few six packs of beer (or soda if you don’t like alcohol) a few bags of your favorite snacks and music playing. Tubbies are in my personal opinion one of the worst things in the game to farm due how randomly they spawn and how stingy they are with their drops.

Just ran the story missions in Sawtooth Cauldron, and got about 6 LLMs in the process. One dropped a corrosion/cooldown relic and a Barking Volcana, while another dropped me Prudential Pyrophobia - sweet! The rest dropped cash and ammo, except the one I accidentally meleed off a walkway into some lava. Well, the melee was deliberate; I just wasn’t thinking that I’d knock him clean off into red hot flesh searing lava and never find out what he was going to drop. Bummer, that!

i know. when i was farming tubbies for legendary class mods, i was literally save-quitting over and over while checking out front of ellie’s. it’s probably the best spot that takes no effort to look for tubbies. And I can literally just watch youtube or something else while doing it so it isnt so boring that i end up quitting.

Sawtooth, WEP, and Thousand Cuts are probably the three best areas to farm LLM. Sawtooth has a ton of boxes while Thousand Cuts can be farmed without fear if you have Rocko’s Modern Life open, or at least the section where you have to set up flags. WEP is really nice if you have the Creature Slaughter Dome to drop the travel distance by half and don’t pick up the echo recorder in the one box when Doctor’s Orders is open in the mission tab.

Edit: I forgot to mention that Frostburn Canyon is not to bad either for LLM and is a decent place to farm tubbies.

Stupid question, but is there a list anywhere that shows what the LLMs have a chance of dropping?

LLM can drop any legendary that is not locked to a single boss like the Norfleet or the Ogre. Certain enemies like Terramorphous have their own unique drops that the midgets do not have. So basically you can get any legendary you can think of out of a LLM.

LLM are a good alternative to raid bosses for loot or if you just like the “surprise me” option.

The exception is Jimmy Jenkins who is a complete douche in that he only drops greens and maybe a blue.

Cheers Troubled, that helps a lot! I knew you couldn’t get the Norfleet (Christ knows why) but I didn’t know they could drop ANY other legendary!

Do they drop all the pearls as well? As I’ve only ever had the Tunguska, Bearcat, Sawbar, Storm and Avenger, but the only other pearl I found was a lvl61 Two Fer Unforgiven from the Loot Train with my Zerker.

The Norfleet and the Ogre have a bit of an identity crisis alongside a few other items. They are technically blue uniques but got bumped up to legendary items. At least that is what I read but since almost every other legendary is a world drop it is not that much of a stretch to think that.

The LLMs only drop the old pearls and not the new ones like the Bekah, Godfinger, and whatever else. I usually lose track of what is dropped once it starts concerning anything non-Jakobs. If you want the new pearls you have to hunt down tubbies which are a bit of a pain to find and force to gag up what you want.

They don’t have an increased chance for Legendary shields however.

Cheers man, that makes things a bit clearer. Bloody tubbies and their irritating drop rates!!!

Nope, they don’t. In fact it is pretty hard to get a shield out of a LLM but they do have a decent chance of dropping weapons. They also can drop the older Legendary COMs that have been around before the UVHM 2 COMs arrived.

A sizeable chunk of the good shields are of Seraph quality though: Antagonist, Blockade, Evolution (bout the same as the Neogenerator though), and the Hoplite.

Antagonist is in my top 3 for favorite shields! Shame it’s a pain to get without being cheap and is a not available between 36-49 range, at least that’s how I remember…haven’t played TVHM in awhile.

I am pretty sure you can buy it with Seraph Crystals in that level range. You cannot get the Antagonist is a drop if I remember but you can buy it.

You could theoretically get an Antagonist at some level between 36 and 49, but just one level (per character). If, for example, you first entered Flamerock in TVHM at level 40, then the items in the Seraph vendor should be level 40. But then they’ll stay level 40 until you complete TVHM in the main game, so you couldn’t get a level 44 one with that character, for example.

Of course a character in TVHM wouldn’t have the Seraph crystals to buy an Antagonist, unless they tagged along with a character that was collecting crystals in UVHM, or they spent a lot of time playing the Flamerock slots. Or a higher level character with crystals could join the character in TVHM and buy one.

See, I was thinking that too but I think TTAONDK and Hammerlocks are different in that on Normal they will be between 30-35 and on TVHM they are stuck on 50.
