New PC motivated me do do somethings

I see that the link to the old Lootology 101 page has been updated to the static version, but how do we get to posts on page 2+ of those threads? The “Page 2 | 3 | 4 | …” link doesn’t work.

That is a good question. One that I do not have the answer to unfortunately.

Another side effect is that the system looks for external links within the archive instead of following them out.

Example: Skyline’s Vault of Marvelous Gear + Visual Parts Guide
The thread on the oldforums turns the link to the actual website (http://www.bl2vmg.com/) into the non-existent (oldforums.gearboxsoftware.com/oldforums/20150309032838/http://www.bl2vmg.com/) Yikes!

The main galleries on that site still work, btw, but the links back to the Part Spotters’ Guides are all vBulletin URLs, and it takes some work to fix them…

Jeff said they are aware of those issues and working on them so we just have to wait until they can share more with us or they have a fix

I pulled various links to the BL2 parts guides together just so they’d be in one place. If there’s anything missing, post in that thread and I’ll update accordingly.

What about the various “Top Gear for…” guides? That would be either (up to) 6 additional links in the top post, or a link to a summary post. Which would be better?

We used to have the summary one in the old forum but it really didn’t get many views, people just found them where they were.

Funny you mention this. I was actually considering this a few weeks ago.

Incidentally @Derch, there’s a couple of links in your Maya guide that can be updated from the repaired parts links I recently posted. Also, does the Gear Calculator actually work for you? (Probably a browser issue on my end, but none of the drop-downs want to work for me.)

Edit: NVM. Apparently, there’s a mismatch between the size of the control fields and the size of the clickable area to get the drop down text. If you click to close to the right (or on the up/down arrow icon) nothing happens; click in the middle or on the left, and they all work just fine.
