Lootpocolypse loot luck(?)

[quote=“jacksfields, post:18, topic:1541060, full:true”]So I honestly believe that the views of the event are a little skewed at the moment.

It’s not just me, though. Everyone I have run with, even in games that I am not taking part in, has noticed that, at best, the drop rate is roughly the same and, at worst, significantly lower; many of those who have noticed the low drop rate and don’t post on the forums have stopped playing. If what you’re saying is true, the ratio of people who have awesome drop rates compared to those who don’t should be increasing, which would then suggest that I wouldn’t be hearing from other people about the lackluster lootpocalypse.

My post was just my thoughts and as such speculation. I have no hard facts and only my own experience to go off of. However, I’m also very familiar with the human habit of complaining before praising and as a result I tend to take these struggles with a grain of salt.

Maybe it’s simply expectations. If you expect to get a legendary or two every run, and then you find out they’re not guaranteed you’re naturally going to be disappointed.

All I can attest to is that I’ve noticed in increase in volume mostly, and a bit of an increase in quality.

I love the game…

I don’t bitch and complain a lot and have defended the game consistently in this forum.

My point is…

For a “Lootpocalypse”

None of these types of negative experiences should occur…

If anything…it should be the other way around…loot almost too easy to get.

It’s a special event and will only last a short time.

A wonderful chance to leave a good taste in folk’s mouth.

Kinda like the special weekend in the Hammerlock DLC of BL2 where all of a sudden you could actually get a Norfleet legit. Or the wonderful “Loot Hunt” in BL2 that lasted almost 3 weeks.

With a little effort you were going to get great loot…it was a done deal.

In Battleborn…for this event…it appears we are still at the mercy of fairly strong RNG.

And I just think (from my experiences so far…and some of my friends) up to this point, it’s a missed opportunity to garrner some excitement for the game.

It is? I got the Voxis core from somewhere in the renegade it might have just been a loot pack I got from there but I could have sworn I got it from him

I just have to say: thank you for the completeness of that response! While I’m sorry you’re disappointed in the event, I’m happy that we can agree to disagree and not be at each other’s throats <3

See internet? Maturity is possible x’D

It’s a good and well run forum. The Mods keep a tight rein on manners which is great in my book.

But in the end…angry words pounded out on a keyboard from a secluded location far away mean very little to me.

They can’t hurt me…maybe sting a little (if I let them) but they certainly can’t harm me.

Now if a guy is a foot away…in my face…and screaming nasties…

That’s a horse of a different color.

But the Internet???

Piece of cake.

Uhhh… Pretty sure legendaries can only come out of Faction, Epic, and Legendary loot packs (Factions have a tiny chance to drop one of the faction specific pieces; Epic has a chance to upgrade the epic drop to a legendary from any of the loot packs; Legendary has 1 guaranteed and I think a chance for a 2nd from any of the loot packs) and I have never seen or heard about any of those dropping.

Maybe you got it right after a Renegade run when you bought a Faction/Epic pack?

Whorely carp. Didn’t realize uncommons could drop legendaries. Nice to know.

Still, Shadoculars. Do we really count those as a real legendary?

I’ve been getting at least one Legendary per run, sometimes I have a run without any Legendaries, but more often than not I’ve been getting them.

My drop chances are OKAY. Im not guarnteed a legendary, but i have gotten a few here and there. I’ve also had decent luck on the Sabetour. I even managed to get o’l Foreman Grall to pass up those Boots of the Brute!

I wish i’d’ve gotten the Chrono Key, Alamo-7, or Oath of the Sustained by now.

What does oath of the sustained do? I’ve heard of this one a lot but I’ve never seen it

Take a look.

7 hp/sec, 9.8% healing received, and 8.4% of damage dealt is given to allies as healing.

Thanks I really want this now

Finally got some luck with some runs last night. We got Vyn’s Quiver twice doing The Sentinel twice in a row. My first drop had pretty good, but not max, stats (the overall drop rate is still disappointing, but this is enough to make me feel like the weekend was worth it loot-wise. Been trying to get Vyn’s for months.) All but one other quiver had stats on the low side though. Got a symbiotic gauntlet in one of those runs, and the shock pad (can’t remember the name) from Hyllis in another. No max rolls on any of those.

I bought 20 Jennerit packs because I’m looking for a couple of greens. 18 packs in a row with no skins or taunts. Between the last two I get one of each. And zero of the item types I want. Fickle indeed.

I think it’s down to 2.8% life steal.

Its still enough to get you healer assists which is all I want from mine lol. But I prefer the Vidranium Root Tea (sp?) for regen.

That’s what I get for trusting an (admittedly excellent) fan made database instead of checking in game. >.<
