Lost a game of Incursion in under 7 mins

Once they took the first Sentry in under 4 mins the game was over. A hard push on the Sentry by either team in the beginning until mercs arrive, take your team’s mercs and the middle mercs. The game is over. There is nothing that can be done if your team isn’t cooperating or full of underskilled players.

My idea for a map layout:’

Supply Station->Turrets->Sentry->Turrets->Supply Station->Turrets->Sentry->Turrets->No Man’s Land<-Turrets<-Sentry<-Turrets<-Supply Station<-Turrets<-Sentry<-Turrets<-Supply Station

Supply Stations are the main objective, they are shielded and have significant damage reduction, These stations provide score points and when the time is up the team with the most score points wins.

Yup sounds about how it should be. If one team is significantly better, that means they can beat you pretty badly

It’s not even that they were significantly better. It’s a simple matter of how easy it is to take advantage of the mechanics. You don’t even have to be good. The sentries are relatively weak and go down quickly when focused. The towers that should help defend them are completely useless and can be 2 shot by quite a few characters.

It’s not about so much as the other team being better as it is that there isn’t enough room for error or comebacks.

The odds are stacked if they take down that sentry and it is easy to do when people on your team are just starting out.

There is no reason why the sentries should be the main objective. I think there should be more supply stations and those should be the main objectives. They should be surrounded by powerful pre-built turrets that can be upgraded for specializations.

Sentries should be guards that have exceptional talents and specialized abilities to prevent hard pushes like that. They simply shouldn’t happen at 5mins in to the match.
