Oh, I misread that (it takes both DoT chance and damage from the weapon in your hands when the Numbus cloud starts).
Both of my Sirens are “locked” to those manufacturers, so I have to make do with those respective weapon sets.
Niche is how I do, I adjust the game difficulty so all this stuff works how I want. With no Mayhem on, Nimbus (and a Slow Hand) was cooking off bits of the boss’ shields in the Guardian Takedown about where I think it should, maybe a little strong. Maybe a Crossbow? Damage is pretty high, and as a kinetic weapon, should do well (for Hyperion).
Thanks for elaborating. I’m off to look at your breakdown now.
Why can’t gearbox write card text that makes sense?
EDIT: read your excellent breakdown. I’m definitely very interested in Nimbuses now. Also, given that the damage of the cloud is neither low nor fixed (and the number 25 doesn’t seem to factor in the equation at any point, from what I gather), that +25/sec label is truly absurd
I’m quite pumped about this, actually. I used to play a melee build, and my mod of choice was Dragon. Since M2.0 rendered melee useless I’ve been using a Phazezerker, but am finding it pretty boring (yes it gives good bonuses via Rush stacks, but the mod doesn’t actually add anything interesting to the gameplay). I’ll enjoy hunting for a god-roll Nimbus now. Thanks korben44 & DocStrangelove!

Here’s the same build with a Phasezerker and a ‘casual’ Slaughter Shaft playthrough:
I’ll do one with the Nimbus, too.

Ok, more exploration is needed with the Stone COM:
