Map Balance: Incursion

Incursion is my most played mode, and I’ve noticed a trend on the main Overgrowth map.

Mainly, there appears to be an area that are heavily defend-able.

As in, it’s near impossible to break through the positioning.

I speak, of course, of the room with the healing station whilst on the offensive. If the enemy team gets in there, you might as well call GG. It’s impossible to break in, and they’re surrounded by turrets and a healing station to toughen them up.

Along with that, it seems that they’re able to kill the sentry from the balcony without the sentry targeting them. I’ve noticed the problem on the first sentry, as well, in the left tunnel.

I don’t know if it’s a L2P issue, or if it’s just bad map making, so if there’s a way to break through, I’d appreciate the input.

Although, I perfectly understand what you say, it’s not impossible. If Phoebe phases at the right spot in front of the turret, she can sacrifice herself in order to destroy it (or even survive if the player is lucky enough) and the rest of the team can push the enemies. For example, Rath’s “Spin to Win” skill (that’s what I call his ulti) will GODDAMN obliterate EVERYTHING in such a small space. Especially if he has Miko along.

But, as I said, I DO get what you mean. It’s a pretty tight situation that requires coordination to tackle.

Destroy the healing station.

Yeah, because hitboxes blocking it aren’t a thing, right?

Not for most ults, and a majority of other powers.

Ive noticed the same thing… at least with the Sentry and the left side and from that room… groups will just get long range damage and camp in that tunnel with a support and just shoot the sentry with impunity ignoring trying to push with adds. if you try to rush them they will blow all there skills as soon as you try to force them out of the tunnel.
