I disagree. I can solo TVHM M3 with a pet build. Doing it requires some key gun equipment but this only for the hardest challenge. I ran all of TVHM story with a pet build using red fang mod as the only requirement.
Some ppl can run the 100m in under 10 Seconds, I cant it
I like to play my own Style in a Video game. I am quite sure, that many Gamer play the same Build from the Net. So i try to find my own way, but to much is to much ( for me) Life is frustrating enough
Technically you can solo TVHM M3 without even allocating talents, guns are enough.
The build is heavily underpowered, and they actually teased it would get a massive overhaul.
Iâm not a âpet buildâ kind of guy, but I like the fact they decided to make it viable
Thatâs a bold statement and Iâm curious to test it; however, in my personal experience the pet build Iâm using now was only available after obtaining enough guardian ranks to get âtopped offâ. Once I had this perk I have created a build that my pet can tank all the aggro as I keep it healed with damage and unless Iâm playing on the toughest challenge with a full team I can solo any current challenge without difficulty and in speedy time.
My issue with everyoneâs complaint is the belief we should able to play the game on the hardest challenge with any weapon we want. I disagree, I believe the hardest challenge should only be won if you have optimized your build with a specific weapon that makes it work. I have to use a corrosive cutsman smg to do enough mob damage with my build that keeps my pet tanking all the aggro; I may not always enjoy having to use this weapon but it really is only necessary when playing g on slaughter shadt and dealing with outrageous mobs of badasses and anointed that otherwise do not appear in the game at these numbers. So I can be upset I have to use this weapon to win the most challenging part of the game or I can be appreciative that the game isnât too easy and to accckmplosh the hardest tasks we have to use the right weapons. If I get bored with the cutsman I can play any side mission, Mai. Mission or etc and not rely on it as long as I do t have a a completely trash weapon.
Not the weapon we want, but at least to have a better choice of viable weapon and build. At bare minimum, the three tree of any character should be perfectly viable for M3 (Like those of Amara)
Nope, not my complaint. I just feel that a skill should mean something, and to me Bear feels completely useless. The pet you at least can use for all the revs he can give. Damagewise the special skill all seem useless.
Kann es sein, dass du zufällig aus der Schweiz kommst?
I wasnât impressed with the pet build until i got Red Fang Mod. This mod opens up a lot of damage with the build because enemies are targeting your pet and not you during gamma burst. There are two skills that greatly boost your damage with this occurring. One boosts damage to enemies not targeting you and another boosts damage when at full health which is easy because youâre not being targeted. Then using another skill that boost your pet bonuses you can have over 100% in damage bonuses every time gamma burst is active. So you can have some great weapon damage with a pet build that is situational but the red fang makes this situation possible often enough to matter.
First ditch any notion of GB or your pet as a damage dealer. Donât try to make them something they will never be as the game currently is. Next get a Red Fang Mod and a decent gun with the Gamma Burst Anointment. With Red Fang and a decent gun with the Gamma Burst Anointment, Gamma Burst builds are actually pretty fun and effective into MH3.
Das stimmt (aber ich bin Niederländer)
You must have something wrong with your build, gamma pet build s are quite strong and super tanky, and ammo is a joke in bl3, you can fill you ammo reserves with just one crate after each battle, you might be spending too much ammo due to lack in damage tho
Red fang gamma burst is a pretty causal slaughter clear for me now on m3. I use an anointed cov pistol with a x2 mod. Since cov have no mags, the ânext two mags contain additional xxx element damageâ lasts as long as you have the weapon equipped. Because it goes through a lot of ammo, I use the melee ammo steal mod as the beginning or end or rounds on trash adds.
While I disagree on the ammo bit and pet tankiness, the rest of the post was spot on. It has nothing to do with gear, but pet behavior. Only Jabbers can successfully hit flying targets most of the time, and Gamma Burst doesnât have a taunt feature without the Red Fang class MOD.
This post is about the Petplay of the master skill tree, not Master based gun builds, which are extremely powerful. The pet aspect of master is still pretty weak. Much better than it was at launch, but it is still far and away the weakest aspect of FL4Kâs kit. Petâs have slow movement speed, so jittery mobs are a pain. Psycho Head on a Stick doesnât activate half the time, so there is no way to get them to move faster. They are also pretty stupid, and will continue trying to attack flying enemies they canât hit, even if there are ground based units attacking you. Attack commands (the barrel throw of the Jabber) take upwards of 4 seconds to complete, and Jabbers can often go higher.
Just about everything in this post besides pet tankiness is spot on, and those things canât be fixed with skill points.
The pet is supposed to help tho, assist, this isnt pokemon, Fl4k states that in his own trailer, hes the alpha. I think pet behavior must be adressed but right now its working pretty well, my pet does considerable damage, too bad it cant hit flying targets, but im there for the rest of the damage needed, as i said in many other posts, what i dont like is critizism based on exagerations.
A proper Master endgame build invests a hefty number of points into buffing the pet. If you are building around them, they should be very powerful and useful because Fl4k is gimping himself to invest in the pet. Of course, if you are going full Stalker-Hunter and expecting your pets to deal loads of damage or be very survivable, then that would be misguided. But a full Master pet Fl4k should not have pets be mere âassistsâ - but instead your primary damage dealer/tank.
They can tank perfectly fine right now⌠i think you are just trying to play a game borderlands is not. As i said, not pokemon, borderlands, its a gun game.
Digi Jacks can kill enemies just fine in TPS. If built right, they could kill badass enemies fairly easily too.
Death Trap can 1-shot badass enemies at OP10. If bosses could be melee-ed, she would have wiped them out too
Axtonâs Turret can kill badass enemies fairly competently until the OP levels
If built correctly, Wilhelmâs Wolf and Saint could begin killing enemies faster than you
With an Assassin COM, Bloodwing could melt Lance enemies
I think either BL3 is your first Borderlands game, or you simply lack experience and knowledge in the previous ones. No one is saying your pet needs to be a walking apocalypse - but with the right build/significant point investment, they should be able to kill regular mobs and even badass enemies under the right circumstances. In fact, compared to any of the examples listed above - the investment into the pet is far greater than any other pet action skill that has come before - yet it does so much less.
Slagga + Gemini Nuke = total destruction
Tps is a disgrace to mankind.
Deathtrap, has broken mechanics just like being immune to damage in borderlands 3, itâs not intended.
Blood wing had no strong enough enemies to be tested with and wasnât reliable as a source of damage 100%.
And most importantly, Im not comparing, you are. Iâm telling you how I think pets should work for a character that is considered the alpha of the pack of beasts. The alpha IS the strongest of the pack and thatâs a fact.
